September brings the official arrival of Fall with cooler temperatures, the beginnings of beautiful color and fun things to do throughout Morgan County! Savor the season as you enjoy a visit to one of the area's top fall attractions, dine outdoors, relax at Indiana's only winery, brewery and distillery in one location, or celebrate the changing seasons with a day at the park. Don't forget that the Centerbrook Drive-in remains open on weekends through the fall season! Whatever you choose, don't forget to check the calendar for more upcoming events, as we add them almost daily. Here's what's coming up throughout the month of September:
Morgan County Farmers Market - Every Tues. & Sat.
This is your last full month to enjoy a visit to the Morgan County Farmers Market for fresh, locally grown veggies, fruit, meat, eggs, fresh baked goods and a variety of handcrafted items. Stop by for Tuesday Market in Mooresville from 3-7 pm or Saturday Market in Martinsville from 9 am to 1 pm.
Cruise-in on the Square - Every Thurs.
Come on down to the courthouse square in Martinsville for the weekly Cruise-in on the Square. This fun event draws a variety of old and new vehicles. Stroll around the inside of the square and chat with car owners, explore locally owned shops and enjoy dinner on the square. The Cruise-in takes place each Thursday evening beginning at 5 pm.
Stitch & B*tch - Sept. 1 & 15
This fun event for fabric and fiber enthusiasts returns after a summer hiatus. The Stitch & B*tch group meets on the first and third Thursday of the month at the Art Sanctuary of Indiana in Martinsville from 6 to 8 pm. Bring your latest fiber project to Studio 001A/B and enjoy great conversation, collaboration, and idea exchanges as you work. The coffee pot will be full. (Must be vaccinated to attend.)

Join Hoosier Que at Foxcliff Golf Club for live music on Friday evenings! On Friday, Sept. 2, enjoy the sounds of Maddy Collingsworth and Aaron Grubb, beginning at 7 pm. Tasty food and beverages will be available from Hoosier Que on site.
Paragon Homecoming Festival - Sept. 2-4
Kick off September with the Annual Paragon Homecoming Festival on Labor Day Weekend. This year, the Homecoming will take place Sept. 2-4 with lots of live music, food vendors and fun activities to enjoy.
Drink at the Creek Concert: Country Rockin' Blues Fest - Sept. 3-4
Head for Cedar Creek Winery, Brewery and Distillery this Labor Day Weekend for a fun, two-day event, the Country Rockin' Blues Fest! On Sept. 3 and 4, Cedar Creek will welcome two days of fantastic live music from several great bands including the Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute and An Innocent Band on day one and Kid Kentucky and BIGG COUNTRY on day two! A total of four bands will be featured each day, with music beginning at 2 pm. The setting is beautiful, the music will be rockin' and the beverages are always tasty. All ages are welcome. Bring your own seating.

Black Dog Brewing Company in Mooresville will welcome live music from Josiah on Saturday, Sept. 3, beginning at 7 pm. Enjoy the tunes along with great food and locally-crafted beer in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Morgan County Community Concert: Beginnings - Sept. 8
The Morgan County Community Concert Association presents the first event of their 2022-23 season on Thursday, Sept. 8 at the Martinsville High School Auditorium. Beginnings is a NYC-based 7-piece band dedicated to playing the music of the band Chicago. Enjoy all your favorite Chicago hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Tickets and season subscriptions are available online.
2nd Friday Open Studios Night
Don't miss the Art Sanctuary of Indiana's fun monthly Open Studios Night on Sept. 9. Mingle with nearly two dozen resident artists and learn more about their work and techniques. Enjoy the exhibition of the month upstairs and Open Mic Night downstairs! Studios are open from 6-8 pm.

Silent Disco - Sept. 9
The Martinsville Rotary Club will host another fun Silent Disco night at Brickhouse on Main on Friday evening, Sept. 9. These fun dance party events provide a headset for each participant, so they can choose their own preferred dance music from three available musical styles. Friends can dance together, even if their musical tastes differ! Cash bar on site. Ages 21+
Monrovia Festival - Sept. 9-11
The town of Monrovia will present their annual Monrovia Festival on Sept. 9-11. This fun, small-town festival will feature vendor booths, live music each night, a car show and even a parade! Don't miss the kids activity area. Parade begins Sunday at 3 pm.
Colonel Vawter Day - Sept. 10
Morgantown's annual Colonel Vawter Day celebration is set to take place on Sept. 10. This fun, small town festival kicks off a day full of activities with the Patriot Day 5K Run/Walk. Additional activities include a baking contest, car show, pet parade, art show, vendor booths, historic wagon rides, and more! Don't miss the fun kids zone. Food will be available on site.

Live Music: Rose O'Neal - Sept. 10
Join Cedar Creek and American Idol contestant Rose O'Neal for live music on Saturday, September 10. Rose and her crew will take the big stage beginning at 4 pm. Bring your own seating; on-site eatery will be open! All ages welcome.
Dirt Track Racing: Johnson Memorial - Sept. 10
Paragon Speedway will host a fun night of dirt track oval racing featuring the Johnson Memorial on Saturday, Sept. 10. Grandstand gate opens at 3 pm. Special event pricing may apply. Pit passes available.
Red, White & Blues Day - Sept. 11
On Patriot Day, September 11, Cedar Creek will welcome The TJ and Tyler Too Band to the big stage! Music begins at 2 pm. Bring your own seating; on site eatery will be open. All ages welcome.
Porcelain Art School of Indiana - Sept. 11-15
The Porcelain Art School of Indiana returns to the Morgan County Fairgrounds for their 2022 event on Sept. 11-15. This event brings world class instructors and students in porcelain painting to the area from around the country for a week of classes in the art of china painting. Ceramic pieces are fired on site and the public is invited to come observe the classes and see the works created. The best time to visit to see the entire process is Tuesday or Wednesday, but visitors are welcome any time.
Pairing Dinner: Switchyard Brewing Company - Sept. 13
Chef Matt at the staff at 21 North Eatery + Cellar present another fantastic pairing dinner on Sept. 14, beginning at 6:30 pm. This event will feature the fantastic creations of the 21 North kitchen, expertly paired with locally crafted beer from Bloomington's Switchyard Brewing Company. Limited seating is available. Tickets are $80 per person.
Chef's Table Wine Tasting - Sept. 14 & 28
Join a limited number of participants at the Chef's Table at 21 North Eatery + Cellar on Sept. 14 and 28 for their recurring Wine Tasting events. Events are held every other Wednesday and feature a different theme each evening. Participants will enjoy an evening of hors d'oeuvres, canapes and a showcase of wines. All bottled wines are available for purchase and seating is limited to 12 guests.
Third Thursday Shop the Square: Bicentennial Celebration - Sept. 15
Join downtown merchants and restaurants in Martinsville for the monthly Third Thursday Shop the Square event! On Sept. 15, shops will be open late so you can shop the square and enjoy dinner at your choice of several downtown eateries. Eminence Harvest Festival - Sept. 17
Join the tiny town of Eminence for the annual Eminence Harvest Festival on Sept. 17. The day begins early with a 5K race and continues with a car show, vendor booths, great food, a magic show and parade! Parade begins at 12 Noon from the A&A Townships Fire Barn.
Honey Harvest Celebration - Sept. 17
Join Hunter's Honey Farm for their 2022 Honey Harvest Celebration! Take a tour of the honey barn, visit vendor booths, enjoy tasty creations at the Honey themed concession stand and more! Kids' activities, hay rides and more will be available from 10 am to 4 pm.
Fall on the Farm Little Red Barn Market - Sept. 17
Walker's Homestead near Martinsville will host their annual Fall on the Farm Little Red Barn Market vendor event on Sept. 17! This fun fall event will feature 70+ vendors this year, plus live music, food trucks, a pumpkin patch, you pick flowers, petting zoo and more! Admission is $3 per person; kids age 12 and under are free. Leashed, friendly pets are welcome. Come early for a special VIP shopping hour from 9 am to 10 am, or just stop by during regular market hours from 10 am to 4 pm.
Downtown Mooresville Street Fair - Sept. 17
Head for downtown Mooresville on Sept. 17 for the final Downtown Street Fair of the season! These events feature a wide variety of vendor booths, kids activities, food trucks and more, beginning at 10 am. Come explore downtown Mooresville!
Wines & Vines Container Garden Party - Sept. 17
The very popular Wines & Vines Container Garden Party event returns to Greendell Landscape Solutions in Mooresvilleon Sept. 17 from 11 am to 1 pm. Create a beautiful personalized container garden with help from Greendell's experts. Event cost is $70 and includes instructions, a pot, base fill, potting soil, five annuals, snacks and your first glass of wine from Mallow Run Winery who will be on site. Additional annuals and embellishments are available and are sold separately. Space is limited, so sign up early!
City of Martinsville Bicentennial Celebration - Sept. 17
The City of Martinsville will celebrate 200 years with a very special Bicentennial Celebration event on Sept. 17. Things will kick off downtown at 1 pm with free live entertainment and more. Opening ceremonies will include performances from local groups such as the Martinsville Community Band, Community Choir, MSD of Martinsville Children's Honor Choir and the singing of the national anthem. Featured performers will include Rose O'Neal, The Woomblies Rock Orchestra, Creedence Revived, Barracuda and Clayton Anderson. The evening will end with fireworks, courtesy of Home Bank.
Dirt Track Racing: Steel Block Sprint Special - Sept. 17
Paragon Speedway will host a fun night of dirt track oval racing featuring the Steel Block Sprint Special on Saturday, Sept. 17. Grandstand gate opens at 3 pm. Special event pricing may apply. Pit passes available.
Live Music: Sisters Brew - Sept. 17
Cedar Creek Brewing Co will welcome Sisters Brew back to the stage on Saturday, September 17, with music beginning at 4 pm. Bring your own seating. On site eatery will be open; all ages welcome.
Oktoberfest - Sept. 24
Cedar Creek Brewing Co presents their inaugural Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 24. The fun begins at 1 pm with a live German Band, games, contests and special release German-style beers! Author Thomas Miller will also be on hand with his book An Oktoberfest Death available for purchase and signing.
Rockin' Out at Pioneer Park - Sept. 24
Are you ready to rock? Be at Pioneer Park in Mooresville on September 24 at 6 pm for their first Rockin' Out at Pioneer Park concert. Admission is $15 per person in advance or $20 the day of show. Music begins at 5 pm and featured performers are Absolute Queen, The Ultimate Def Leppard Tribute and Deadline. Bring your own seating. (A small parking fee will be charged at this event.)
Dirt Track Racing: Schaffers Oil Indiana Racesaver Sprints- Sept. 24
Paragon Speedway will host a fun night of dirt track racing on Sept. 24, including the Schaffer's Oil Indiana Racesaver Sprints. Races that evening will feature 305 Racesaver Sprints, Super Stocks, Modifieds, Bombers and Hornets. Grandstand gate opens at 2 pm. Pit passes available.
Apple Festival & Craft Fair - Sept. 24-25
Anderson Orchard's annual Apple Festival and Craft Fair is set to take place on Sept. 24-25. The craft fair will run from 9 am to 5 pm, and the orchard (and concessions!) will remain open until 8 pm. The craft tent will feature 100+ local and regional crafters and artisans. While you're there, check out the store or pick your own apples or raspberries, visit the pumpkin patch and let the kids climb the giant straw pile at the playground!
Old Town Waverly Park Festival & County Bicentennial Celebration - Sept. 24-25
Morgan County Parks and Recreation once again presents the two day Old Town Waverly Park Festival on Sept. 25-26. This event features live music performances, historic reenactors, a variety of craft vendors, kids activities and live blacksmith and tinsmith demonstrations! Returning again for a second year is the car show on Sunday beginning at 10:30 am. Watch for special Bicentennial Celebration events as well!
