Monrovia
Monrovia is located just off of Interstate 70 in the northern part of Morgan County. This small town of approximately 1,600 residents is poised for future growth with new housing projects on the horizon expected to spur additional development. The town was the subject of a documentary by Frederick Wiseman, aired on PBS in 2018 called simply Monrovia, Indiana.
Known For:
Established in 1824, Monrovia wasn't officially incorporated as a town until 1995. Known as the hometown of IndyCar driver Gary Bettenhausen, NFL wide receiver John Standeford and NCAA Championship basketball coach Branch McCracken, Monrovia is everything you'd expected of small rural community in Indiana. The scenery is beautiful, the people are friendly and the restaurants serve up tasty home-cooked goodness!

Farm House Brew
This adorable coffee house in Monrovia is developing quite the reputation, serving up a signature monthly cold brew flight featuring seasonal fun flavors. You'll also find hot brews, breakfast and lunch specials, and more. Keep an eye out at area festivals and events for their new mobile coffee truck!
Hall's Haunted Halls
Known as one of the top haunted houses in Central Indiana, Hall's Haunted Halls lives up to it's spooky reputation each year on weekends in October. Located at the former Hall Elementary School, the haunted house is a fundraiser for the Hall Civic Association, which exists to restore and maintain the Hall school building as a community center. Hall School is on the National Register of Historic Places and was originally established in 1911, with additional construction added in the 1950s, 1970s and 1980s.
