Candy Cane Demonstrations

A popular seasonal activity in downtown Martinsville, watching the staff at the Martinsville Candy Kitchen create candy canes by hand is an experience you won't soon forget! In fact, it's an experience that just might become a family tradition. The most popular time of year to visit the Candy Kitchen to see them make candy canes is certainly the holiday season. Every Saturday in November and December, you'll find a quaint little candy and ice cream shop that smells divinely like peppermint or cinnamon as they create beautiful red and white candy canes in the traditional way. 

If you can't make it during the holiday season (or you'd rather avoid the crowds), the Martinsville Candy Kitchen does make candy canes at various times throughout the year. You'll find them making heart shaped candy canes prior to Valentine's Day, shamrock shaped candy canes leading up to St. Patrick's Day, red white and blue canes before Independence Day and fall colors around October. You never know what flavors you'll find through the year - strawberry, vanilla, blueberry, maybe even green apple! They also take special orders throughout the year, so if you have a birthday, anniversary or other event you'd like to have a specific color and flavor combination for, just give them a call!
