The 2024 Total Eclipse is almost here! If you're planning to be here in Morgan County for any part of your eclipse experience, you'll want to make sure you pick up some souvenirs to remember your experience. We've compiled a list below of unique solar eclipse souvenirs and where to find them at local shops and boutiques in our area. So, make your list, and make sure you don't miss out on cool eclipse items, from t-shirts to handcrafted artisan creations!
Morgan County Visitors Center:
First up, don't forget to make sure you have ISO-certified eclipse glasses or viewers to make sure your eclipse viewing experience is a safe one. Again, we've got you covered. Visit Morgan County has souvenir eclipse viewers available for FREE while supplies last! Already have your eye protection covered? Awesome, but you're still invited to stop by and pick up a FREE souvenir vinyl sticker to remember your eclipse experience, also available while supplies last. We're located inside The Main Connection, located at 460 South Main Street. While you're here, ask any questions you may have about additional things to do in the area, or pick up local or statewide visitor information.
Martinsville Chamber of Commerce:
The Martinsville Chamber of Commerce will be on site at the Downtown Martinsville Performance Venue throughout the weekend with visitor information, free viewers and stickers from Visit Morgan County, and some very cool souvenir coins to commemorate your visit to Martinsville during the 2024 solar eclipse. Stop by and visit while you're enjoying the events and entertainment provided for visitors and residents alike in Downtown Martinsville! Keep an eye out for the Chamber book near Pike and Jefferson Streets.
The Sterling Butterfly:
Jewelry artist and shop owner Pam Hurst at The Sterling Butterfly has been collecting an amazing array of eclipse themed items for you shopping enjoyment - many from local Indiana artisans! Be sure to check out Pam's own eclipse jewelry, including souvenir pieces with the event date engraved on the back, plus works from other local artists such as Lynne Medsker (jewelry & paintings) and Debbie Dodge (handmade trinket dishes and other ceramic creations). In addition, you'll find laser cut wooden ornaments, tee shirts, souvenir stickers and more! Find The Sterling Butterfly on the corner of Morgan and Jefferson Streets, just steps from the downtown Martinsville performance venue at Pike and Jefferson Streets.
Fables & Fairy Tales:
Fable & Fairy Tales is Martinsville's downtown independent book shop, located right on Main Street! They're a favorite of visitors of all ages and they'll be offering eclipse visitors a wide array of eclipse themed items, including (of course) books for both adults and kids detailing the science behind the eclipse, plus souvenir magnets, coins, and more! Stop in to browse while you're in town. (They'll also be on site at the Cedar Creek Eclipse Viewing Party, if you're planning to attend that event.)
The Hat Bar Boutique:
Located inside Wood & Cotton Co., right on south Main Street, The Hat Bar Boutique features the work of local artisan Monnie Greeson. She creates beautiful, meaningful souvenir hats that can be worn again and again, or displayed to to commemorate any occasion, including the solar eclipse! Check out this gorgeous eclipse hat! Painted Cottage & Lil' Tot Boutique:
Another downtown boutique, located on Morgan Street, just east of the courthouse square, the Painted Cottage & Lil' Tot Boutique has a variety of fun eclipse merchandise, including tee shirts, custom coffee mugs and travel mugs, stickers, can koozies, eclipse themed jewelry and more! You'll also find seriously cute apparel for all ages.
The Martinsville Candy Kitchen:
The Martinsville Candy Kitchen is a local icon, having been a part of local celebrations for more than 100 years! For the total solar eclipse, expect to see fun specialty items like locally crafted ceramic eclipse souvenirs, eclipse tee shirts, tasty moon pies and more! This locally owned and operated candy store is the perfect place to take a break during your eclipse weekend. Stop in for snacks, drinks, ice cream and of course, handcrafted candy canes to take home.
Brickhouse on Main:
Brickhouse on Main is a local venue, situated just north of the courthouse square on North Main Street. They'll be hosting a very special eclipse themed evening on Friday, April 5 featuring live music, an eclipse themed menu with fun items like "Flat-Earth Bread," "Solar Sliders," "Black Hole Brownies" and more! Doors open on Friday at 6 pm; live music begins at 7 pm. Limited seating; no cover charge. Not arriving until Saturday? No worries - Brickhouse on Main will also be providing fun themed snacks and drinks at the downtown performance venue throughout the weekend.
Utters, LLC:
Local business Utters, LLC will be on hand with a booth near the downtown performance venue with a wide variety of eclipse themed items. Utters creates custom embroidered and printed shirts, cups and other items for companies around the region, so you can rest assured that you're getting the highest quality items from a local vendor. Check out their glow-in-the-dark eclipse tee shirts, thermal travel mugs, and more!
Sidney & Girlfriends Nail & Day Spa & Nails By Sidney:
Need to look your very best for eclipse day? Book an appointment with Sidney & Girlfriends Nail & Day Spa in downtown Martinsville or Nails by Sidney in Mooresville! Both locations are featuring fun (and gorgeous) Galaxy Nails to make sure you're ready and looking your best for all those fun total solar eclipse parties and events! (Sidney's also offers a variety of relaxing services at their downtown Martinsville location, in case you need to recover from all the excitement.)
Cedar Creek Winery, Brewery & Distillery:
Cedar Creek Winery, Brewery & Distillery is hosting a Solar Eclipse Viewing Party on Monday, April 8 that will feature a variety of local vendor booths featuring handcrafted items. We happen to know there will be vendors on site who can create custom tee shirts for you while you wait, plus a plethora of other fun items as well! The fun, live music and shopping begins at 11 am on Monday. Also check out Cedar Creek's special releases for the eclipse - the Brewery will be releasing a very special craft beer just for the eclipse, the winery will have a small batch limited release specialty wine, and the distillery will have a variety of eclipse-themed craft cocktails available throughout the weekend. Black Dog Brewing Company:
Black Dog Brewing Company in Mooresville will celebrate a special release on Thursday before the eclipse featuring their brand new Total Eclipse of the Hops brew! This special release is a New England style IPA and will be available at the brewery itself, which will also be hosting fun eclipse events like a Glow Party, Music Bingo, and a Hair of the Dog Brunch over the weekend, and also at other local distribution points well. Be sure to sample some of their other awesome brews as well - including Moore's Light - a light American lager celebrating Black Dog's hometown, Mooresville!
Downtown Mooresville Street Fair:
Browse through dozens of vendor booths during the Street Fair portion of Mooresville's Solar Eclipse Festival! They'll shuttles running from Pioneer Park and other free parking sites throughout the weekend to make it easier to get around. The Street Fair will be open from 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday and Sunday, and from 9 am to 6 pm on
Grays Hollow:
Grays Hollow, a super cute boutique located in downtown Mooresville on Indiana Avenue, has these awesome celestial themed stained glass sun catchers. Created by a local artisan, these are available in store only from Grays Hollow, so don't miss out!

Plus, find additional tasty treats and specialty items at locally owned coffee shops and restaurants throughout area during the eclipse weekend! A number of shops and restaurants will be open extended hours over the eclipse weekend, though a few may close on eclipse day. Please double check hours before you visit.
