Farms & Flowers

Morgan County is proud to be home to a very high number of family-owned farms, which contributes both to the beautiful scenery throughout the county and to the experiences available to our visitors! In addition to traditional farms, the area offers a number of unique experiences at local farm-based businesses - you can find out first-hand where honey comes from and how it's processed, stroll through gorgeous fields of lavender, picnic at a local winery and vineyard, enjoy a guided adventure on horseback or pick out beautiful plants to adorn your own garden back home.

Of course, farms are intricately tied to the changing seasons, so be sure to call ahead to know what experiences are available during your visit. Spring is a perfect time to visit for gardeners - you won't want to miss the annual Morgan County Garden Fest, or the beautiful fields of daffodils blooming at the Link Observatory. Summer brings Farmers Markets, the Morgan County Fair and more. Fall boasts perhaps the busiest time of year for farms in Morgan County - harvest time! Many of the area's orchards and farms have special fall harvest activities that are open to the public - don't head home without picking out the perfect pumpkin for your jack-o-lantern.
