One of our favorite ways to enjoy those days with perfect (or close-enough-to-perfect) weather is to enjoy a fantastic meal or a few drinks while relaxing on an outdoor patio. Not sure where to go in Morgan County to enjoy lunch or dinner al fresco? Not to worry - we've got you covered. Whether you're looking for brunch, dinner or just drinks, here's a quick list of our favorite outdoor dining options at independent, locally-owned eateries around the county. Call ahead in early spring or later fall to verify that your choice of outdoor seating is, in fact, open. 

Black Dog Brewing Company, Mooresville
If you love craft beer, you'll want to check out the Black Dog Brewing Company in Mooresville. Located right on Highway 67, Black Dog has a great selection of their own brews, wines by the glass or bottle and even a couple of ciders! They also have food available on site, including tasty flatbread creations, and frequent visits from popular food trucks! Enjoy an afternoon or evening relaxing in their outdoor patio space. 

Cedar Creek Winery, BreweryDistillery & Eatery!, Martinsville
A relatively recent addition to Cedar Creek Martinsville is their eatery! With counter service, you're free to seat yourself inside in the eatery, the taproom, outside on the patio, the cute seating area outside the distillery, around a firepit, or elsewhere on the beautiful grounds. Enjoy your favorite menu options and choice of beverages from their handcrafted wine, beer and spirits (including fun and unique cocktails) as you soak in the gorgeous atmosphere just three miles from town. This is the perfect place to relax with friends. Don't miss out on their upcoming Drink at the Creek Summer Concerts - advance tickets available - and frequent free shows just about every weekend!

Chunky Monkey Ice Cream and Sweets, Mooresville
If you're looking for some tasty dessert, be sure to check out Chunky Monkey in Mooresville! They've got a great outdoor seating area and even a drive thru. Their menu features a wide variety of hand dipped ice cream flavors, plus shakes, malts, Italian creme sodas, coffee drinks and more. Choose from lots of fun toppings for your sundae or indulge in a chocolate-dipped waffle cone! 

Dawg House Pizza, Monrovia
This casual pizza place in Monrovia often uses the hashtag #nofarmsnopizza and well... they kind of have a point! The small town atmosphere really drives home the connection between rural agriculture and high quality pizza ingredients, which ensures a very tasty end result. Calzones, strombolis and breadsticks are popular as well, and trust us - you definitely want to share an order of Toasted Raviolis! Outdoor dining is located on a spacious wooden deck. 

El Rodeo No. 9, Mooresville
The large outdoor patio space at El Rodeo No. 9 in Mooresville is perfect for enjoying an evening filled with great food and drink. Complete with umbrellas for shade in the afternoon and cute lighting for after sunset, this space is comfortable and welcoming. The restaurant itself serves up all your Mexican favorites, including a great margarita! 

Gather Around BBQ, Martinsville
Perhaps our favorite outdoor patio, the outdoor space at Gather Around features ceiling fans for warm days and a heating system for cool nights. That makes it the perfect place to sit down with family and enjoy some great BBQ! Try the BBQ Nachos or the Gabby Mac and if you've never had it you HAVE to try the candied bacon - it's legendary. Located on Main Street adjacent to beautiful green space and only steps from the downtown square, Gather A'round is a great place to relax and soak up the charming atmosphere of Martinsville's historic downtown. It's also a great vantage point for experiencing Taps on the Square on Friday evenings.  

Greek's Pizzeria & The Groggy Goat Taproom, Martinsville
Speaking of outdoor dining in downtown Martinsville, have you seen the awesome patio space at Greek's Pizzeria yet? Lots of space on North Main Street in a fenced in area off the rear of the restaurant welcomes you to enjoy dining al fresco. Just one block from the performance venue on Jefferson Street, this will be a great place to dine outdoors and enjoy the music as it floats over from Downtown Martinsville's Summer Concert Series in June and July. Plus, you can't go wrong with pizza, beer and great weather!  

Indy's Family Restaurant, Martinsville
One of the area's go-to breakfast choices, Indy's has a few outdoor tables available, which are perfect for a leisurely brunch. The restaurant is located just off State Road 37 at Burton Lane and has a wide variety of menu items to choose from, featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites.  

La Herradura Mexican Grill, Martinsville
The newest of the area's Mexican offerings, La Herradura is located in the Grand Valley shopping center and features a large patio space where you can enjoy a tasty meal, great drinks and a pleasant view of the hills just south of town.  

Mis Dos Abuelos, Morgantown
Another great option for Mexican cuisine (and margaritas), Las Chalupas  in Morgantown features a spacious patio space surrounded by flower boxes. A great place to meet friends and enjoy a relaxing evening outdoors, they also have a fairly extensive menu to choose from and large groups are welcome.

Local Grind, Martinsville
Located in downtown Martinsville just a block from the Morgan County Courthouse, on the corner of Morgan and Sycamore Streets the Local Grind now has four outdoor tables along Sycamore Street. Stop in sometime to check out their extensive menu of fun drink choices featuring coffee, tea and smoothies! 

Los Tres Caminos, Martinsville
Located in the Grand Valley shopping center area, Los Tres Caminos now boasts a great little outdoor seating area! Enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. 

Sal's Famous Pizzeria, Mooresville
Enjoy outdoor seating right on Indiana Street in Mooresville. Pizza, pasta and other Italian specialties are available daily from this small regional chain.  Choose from pizza by the slice, or order a custom pie made from scratch just for you. Not feeling like pizza? Give the Chicken Marsala a try - you won't regret it! 

Sara's Goodies, Martinsville
Located inside The Main Connection, Sara's Goodies features tasty treats, specialty coffee and tea. Grab something amazing, sit outside at one of the picnic tables in front of the building and enjoy the beautiful park-like lawn. Come on Saturday to visit the Morgan County Farmers Market as well. 

Sgt. Peppers Chicken, Martinsville 
A new addition to our outdoor dining list, Sgt. Peppers is a local favorite that just recently added a new outdoor area with seating. Call ahead, or stop in for counter service and enjoy some of the best fried chicken around (or grilled chicken, or even a tasty pork tenderloin). Don't miss unique and tasty side options like fried green beans, fried green tomatoes and more! 

Tropical Sno, Mooresville
If you're in need of a cool treat on a hot day, look no further than Tropical Sno in Mooresville. Featuring giant snow cones, milkshakes and more, this walk-up stand offers plenty of outdoor seating for you to enjoy your treats.(Open seasonally.) 

Zydeco's Cajun, Mooresville
That's right, everyone's favorite Cajun eatery how has outdoor seating! Right along Main Street in Mooresville, Zydeco's has four outdoor tables available for dinner al fresco. Experience Cajun flavors in a small-town Hoosier setting. (Don't forget to try the bread pudding!)
