The days get colder and the holiday decorations come out during the month of November as we transition from beautiful fall color to the colorful twinkling lights of the holiday season! It's time to hit up the craft shows and holiday open houses for those perfect holiday gifts, enjoy some indoor entertainment and of course, bask in the sunshine of those final warmer days of fall. Hit up Morgan County's various trails and parks on those warmer days, and enjoy the area's many shops on those cooler days as we begin to usher in the holiday season!
Candy Cane Pours
Every Saturday in November and December, the Martinsville Candy Kitchen makes holiday dreams come true with their handmade candy canes. Watch their Facebook page for details on pour times each week, and don't miss their other sweet treats while you're there!
Berries & Ivy Country Store Holiday Open House
On the Saturday after Halloween each year, Berries & Ivy hosts a Christmas Open House from 10 am to 4 pm. The first 50 customers will receive a small gift item from the store. Come see their beautiful holiday decorations in person.
First Baptist Church Craft Fair
Join the First Baptist Church for their annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 3. This annual event features a variety of local vendors with all sorts of fun handcrafted gift items. Refreshments are available on site.
St. Martin of Tours Holiday Bazaar & Cookie Sale
One of our favorite holiday craft shows, this annual Holiday Bazaar includes a Cookie Sale! On Saturday, Nov. 3, join St. Martin of Tours as you browse through a variety of handcrafted items, enjoy a homemade lunch and of course, head home with your favorite holiday cookies, sold by the pound.
Two for the Show
The Main Street Stage at Tom Fiddlery welcomes local favorites Two for the Show on Saturday, Nov. 3. There will be two shows - the early show at 6 pm with dinner available from a local eatery and the later show at 8 pm. All ages welcome.
The Morgan County Community Concert Series presents a special matinee performance of the Cashore Marionettes on Nov. 4 at the Mooresville High School Auditorium. The handcrafted marionettes will perform a collection of engaging pieces encompassing a broad range of themes and accompanied by Classical music.
Story Time at Fables & Fairy Tales
On Nov. 4 at 1 pm, Fables & Fairy Tales will host Pastor Roxie McNelly for story time featuring the book God Gave us Grateful Hearts. They will also be accepting food pantry donations that day at the store.
Martinsville Community Choir Fall Concert
Come out for an evening of musical performance as the Martinsville Community Choir presents their fall concert at the Martinsville First Presbyterian Church on Nov. 6. Music begins at 7 pm.
On Nov. 10 and 24, the Morgan County Farmers Market Association presents Winter Market at Keller Hall on Washington Street. This every-other-weekend market features locally handcrafted items, locally grown meats, winter produce and more.
Artie Fest Craft Fair
The second annual Artie Fest Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. Browse through dozens of independent craft vendors as you search for those perfect gifts.

Titanic Tasting Dinner & Beer Pairing
Join Holy Smoke Hog Roast Company on Nov. 13 for this unique culinary experience. They'll be recreating an eleven course menu from the voyage of The Titanic and pairing it with craft beer. There will be a replica of the ship on site as well as a prop from the popular movie! Attendees will receive an envelope with the name of a passenger on the doomed ship as they arrive. Once the dinner is complete, the envelope will be opened to reveal the fate of that passenger.
Willowfield Lavender Farm Holiday Open House
Your final chance to visit Willowfield Lavender Farm this year, their annual Holiday Open House will be held Nov. 15-18. This is the perfect time to stop in and stock up on lavender gift items for the holidays.
The Martinsville High School Drama Program presents the Broadway musical Mamma Mia! Performances will be Nov. 16-18 at the Martinsville High School Auditorium and tickets are $8-12 per person.

Link Observatory Program
Join the experts from Link Observatory Space Science Institute for their monthly LinkLive program at the Mooresville Public Library on Nov. 17. The program will begin at 8 pm. Following the presentation, a shuttle will be available to the observatory for telescope viewing, as weather permits.
Footsteps Montessori Craft & Gift Fair
Support early childhood education as you shop dozens of local craft and gift vendors at this annual event. This year's event will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Martinsville on Nov. 10.
