Summer's finally here! School's out, pools are opening and it's time to revel in warmer tempsoutdoor activities and relaxing meals on outdoor patios. Whether you have a long summer vacation or have to work throughout the season, you'll want to plan a visit to Morgan County for some of these don't-miss events in June! See the full schedule of outdoor concerts in the area, (or just the free ones) and be sure to keep an eye on our event calendar, as we are always adding new events.

 

Tuesdays & Saturdays - Morgan County Farmers Market
Stop in and talk to area farmers and artisans at the twice-weekly Morgan County Farmers Market! Find them at the Friends Church in Mooresville on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 pm and at The Main Connection in Martinsville on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Be sure to enjoy a specialty coffee or sweet treat from Sara's Goodies on Saturdays while you browse! (You can also pick up state and local visitor information inside at the Visit Morgan County office.)

Wednesdays - Kids' Summer Movie Series
Join Showtime Cinema in Mooresville for a fun summer movie series just for the kids. Admission is a non-perishable food or toiletry item for Churches in Mission (or 50 cents per person). Movies are on Wednesdays in June and July, featuring popular family films. See calendar listing for movie schedule. 

Wednesdays - Karaoke at Main Street Grill Monrovia
Join the Main Street Grill in Monrovia on each Wednesday for fun Karaoke nights! Get up there and strut your stuff, or just enjoy the show put on by others. The fun begins at 8 pm. Hosted by Track to Tunes Entertainment and DJ Switch. 

Thursdays - Cruise-in on the Square
Downtown Martinsville is the place to be on Thursday evenings, as classic car and truck owners cruise-in to the courthouse square for the evening. Cars begin arriving at 5 pm for the weekly Cruise-in on the Square, weather permitting. Browse through the awesome autos on display and enjoy a tasty dinner at one of several downtown eateries around the square.

​2nd & 4th Thursdays - Eminence Summer Market & Cruise-in
Head for the tiny town of Eminence on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month this summer. Browse local vendors at the Summer Market, including fresh local produce, handmade items and more, PLUS, check out all the cool rides at the cruise-in! Both events are held in the Eminence Community Schools parking lot, beginning at 6 pm. 

Fridays -  Taps on the Square
A Martinsville tradition, Taps on the Square takes place each and every Friday on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn under the flags. Members of the American Legion Riders, Spirit of '45 and Bugles Across America gather along with locals and visitors each week to acknowledge the bravery and sacrifice of service members, law enforcement, fire fighters, rose the riveters and even the occasional K-9 officer. Names are read, beginning at 6:50 pm, with echoing taps played at the 7th bell, by live buglers stationed at points around the square. 

Fridays - Karaoke Stars with Bobbi Delane
Join Bobbi Delane for Karaoke Stars at Hoosier Que, located at Foxcliff Golf Club, on most Friday evenings, beginning at 7 pm. Bobbi will host as audience members take the stage to show off with their favorite songs. Whether you'd like to share your talent or just enjoy the show, this a a fun evening for all ages! 

Most Saturdays - Dirt Track Racing at Paragon Speedway
Join Paragon Speedway for racing under the lights on this traditional dirt track oval. Dirt track racing at Paragon typically features several classes of cars each night. Pit passes are available. General admission for kids age 10 and under is always free with a paid adult admission. Race dates this month are June 14, 15, 22 and 29. (Special event pricing may apply for some events; see calendar for details, and don't miss the fireworks extravaganza on June 29!)

1st & 3rd Saturday - Morgantown Farm Market
Morgantown hosts its local farm market on the first and third Saturdays of each month through September. Find them in the Morgantown First United Methodist Church parking lot, from 9 am to Noon with locally grown produce, handmade items and fresh baked goods! 

Ongoing until June 7 - Explore Downtown Martinsville Passport
Martinsville downtown merchants invite you to pick up a passport at one of 29 participating businesses and shop local! Fill as many passports as you can before the promotion ends on June 7. Winners will be chosen at random for several great prizes. Hours vary by business. 

June 2 - Studio PhD Class: Forging & Forming Skills
Join jewelry artist Pam Hurst for a Forging and Forming class! Class will meet at the Sterling Butterfly on Morgan Street, on June 2, beginning at 9 am. This is one of five classes that are prerequisites for more advanced courses. Advance registration required.

June 3-7 - Annual Anniversary Sale
The current owners of Berries & Ivy Country Store in downtown Martinsville invite you to celebrate their anniversary the first week of June! You'll find something you absolutely have to have in this cute little shop, which is true any time, but especially true this week as there will be special discounts throughout the week! Open 11 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Friday and 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday. 

June 4 - Racing: USAC Indiana Midget Week 
The Paragon Speedway has been home to fast-paced, exciting race night action since the 1950's, and they're still going strong today. Bring the whole family for a fun night at the races, from April through early October. On June 4, the featured event will be USAC Indiana Midget Week. The night will include the following classes: 410 Sprints, USAC National Midgets. 

June 6 - FREE Summer Concert: Cornfield Mafia
Pioneer Park will host a Free Summer Concert on Friday, June 6 featuring Cornfield Mafia. Music begins at 7 pm. Bring your own seating, picnics are welcome, but there will be food and drinks available on site. No outside alcohol. The stage will be set up in the grassy area between the Aquatic Center and the parking area for the ball fields. All are welcome. 

June 6 & 7 - MoMoFo 100K & 20 Mile Fun Run
This 100km trail race will prove that there’s more than just corn in Indiana! Situated in Indiana’s beautiful Morgan Monroe State Forest, this evening-start event (7pm on Friday, June 6) will have plenty to offer throughout the night with its old growth forests, natural rock formations, lakes, and creeks. For those less adventurous trail nuts, try the “fun run”. If you aren’t quite up for the full 100km, there's a shorter, 20 mile loop for you to “enjoy”.  This run will start Saturday, June 7 at 8:30am. Register online. 

June 7 - Martinsville Lions Club Fish Fry
The Martinsville Noon Lions Club will be on the lot in front of the Martinsville Youth Development Center on Morton Avenue for their annual Fish Fry on Saturday, June 7. They'll be serving from 11 am to 3 pm, with your choice of tasty breaded fish or breaded tenderloin. Both are available as dinners or sandwiches. 

June 7 - 41st Annual Crafty Bear Fare
Delta Theta Tau will host their 41st Annual Crafty Bear Fare on June 7 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds from 10 am to 4 pm. This is one of the area's largest craft shows, with over 100 craft vendors selling handmade creations of all kinds! Admission and parking are free for customers. 

June 7 - Community Drum & Dance Circle & Workshop
Come and experience why, for thousands of years, people around the world have been co-creating in drum and dance circles for community connection, creativity, and self expression. Learn more about it and how to participate or enhance your participation! Join the circle on June 7 at 4 pm at the outdoor performance venue in downtown Martinsville. Bring a drum if you have one, or reserve a drum to use. Dancers welcome, too. All experience levels (including no experience) welcome.

June 7 - Drink at the Creek Concert: Jump & Right Now
Attention Van Halen fans - this Drink at the Creek Concert n Saturday, June 28 is especially for you. Featured performers are Jump, the well-known Van Halen tribute band, and Right Now, a "Van Hagar" tribute band specializing in music from the Sammy Hagar era of Van Halen. Music begins at 5 pm. Bring your own seating. Picnics are welcome, but coolers must be 12"x15" or smaller. No outside alcohol. Food trucks on site, plus the Cedar Creek Eatery will be open as well. Get tickets in advance online, or at the gate.  

June 7 - Live Music: Jamie Nicole
Join Black Dog Brewing Company in Mooresville for an evening of live musical entertainment with Jamie Nicole on Saturday, June 7. Music begins at 7 pm on the patio. Be sure to enjoy the locally crafted brews and awesome flatbread pizzas while you're there! 

June 7 - Open Mic Night & Pints, Monrovia
The Main Street Grill in Monrovia invites you to enjoy a monthly Open Mic Night on the First Saturday of each month. Come out from 8 to 11 pm to join in the fun. All musicians, songwriters and singers are welcome to sign up to perform, or just come and enjoy the local talent!

June 12 - FREE Summer Concert: Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio
Head for Bicentennial Park in downtown Mooresville for another Free Summer Concert on Thursday, June 12. Featured performers will be regional favorites Duke Tumatoe & The Power Trio. Music begins at 7 pm. Food and drinks available on site, or grab takeout from a locally owned eatery! Picnics welcome, no outside alcohol. Bring your own seating. All ages welcome. 

June 13 - 2nd Friday Open Studios Night
The Art Sanctuary of Indiana will host their monthly Open Studios Night and Open Mic Night on Friday, June 13, beginning at 6 pm. Stop in and visit with local resident artists, see where they work and browse the monthly exhibition. Located at the corner of Pike and Sycamore Streets in downtown Martinsville. 

June 13 - FREE Summer Concert: Cabin Row
Downtown Martinsville will host another Free Summer Concert featuring Cabin Row at the outdoor performance venue, just a block off the courthouse square at Jefferson and Pike Streets. Music begins at 7:30 pm on Friday, June 13. Bring your own seating. Picnics welcome (no outside alcohol), but there will be food and drink available on site. All ages welcome. 

June 14 - Big Green Egg Cookout
Join Ace Hardware in Martinsville for another Big Green Egg Cookout on Saturday, June 14! They'll have yummy options, served up from 11 am to 3 pm, unless they run our early! All proceeds from these events support local nonprofit organization Stability First. 

June 14 - Jog Your Memory 5K Walk/Run
A Senior Retreat invites you to come out for the Jog Your Memory 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 14 at Pioneer Park in Mooresville. Join them for a morning of fitness, fun and the opportunity to build awareness for Alzheimer's and Brain Health Month! Community resouces and information will be available at the finish line. All ages welcome. Please register in advance. 

June 14 - Live Music: EZY Livin' 
Join Black Dog Brewing Company in Mooresville for an evening of live musical entertainment with the EZY Livin' band on Saturday, June 14. Music begins at 7 pm on the patio. Be sure to enjoy the locally crafted brews and awesome flatbread pizzas while you're there! 

June 14 - Chris Janson, Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry & Michael McCartney
This is the big one - join RD Productions for their biggest concert of the year, featuring Chris Janson, Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry featuring Eddie Montgomery, and special locally-known opening act Michael McCartney! The show takes place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds with festival seating in three sections, so bring your own seating. Music begins at 5 pm. Food and beverages available on site, including locally crafted beer and wine. 

June 14 - Roy Caruthers Memorial & Ticket to Tulsa Night 5
The Paragon Speedway has been home to fast-paced, exciting race night action since the 1950's, and they're still going strong today. Bring the whole family for a fun night at the races, from April through early October. On June 14, the featured event will be Roy Caruthers Memorial and Ticket to Tulsa Night 5. The night will include the following classes: 410 Sprints, Modifieds, Midwest Throwback Sprint Cars, UMP Hornets. 

June 14 - Strawberry Festival & Vendor Fair
The Grand Valley Health Campus will host a Strawberry Festival & Vendor Fair on Saturday, June 14, from Noon to 3 pm. There will be local craft vendors, live music, face painting, food trucks, games, a blood drive, and of course, Strawberry Shortcake! All are welcome. 

June 14 - Strawberry Festival, BBQ Lunch & Craft Fair
The Mooresville First United Methodist Church invites you to join them on June 1 for their annual Strawberry Festival and Craft Fair, featuring booths from local crafters. Stop by from 9 am to 3 pm; located across from Pioneer Park. Enjoy a Bar-b-que lunch, available on site!

June 17 - Studio Phd Class: Finishing & Polishing Skills

Pioneer Park will host another Free Summer Concert on Friday, June 20 featuring Chasing Katie. Music begins at 7 pm. Bring your own seating, food and drink will be available on site. Picnics are welcome, but no outside alcohol allowed. All ages welcome! 

June 20 - Longest Day Celebration
Mooresville Parks & Recreation will host a Longest Day Celebration on June 20, the longest day of the year. Come enjoy a family fun swim night to enjoy the late sunlight! Cost is $2 per person at the Mooresville Aquatic Center (Free for those with 2025 season swim passes.)

June 20 - Summer Musical Theatre: School House Rock Live Jr.
You're invited to come enjoy a performance of the musical production of School House Rock Live, Jr. on Friday, June 20, beginning at 6 pm. This performance is the conclusion of MSD of Martinsville's Summer Musical Theater Camp, featuring students in grades 3-8. Admission is free and all are welcome. Performance will take place at the Martinsville HS Auditorium. 

June 21 - 9th Annual Cody's Ride
The 9th Annual Cody's Ride will take place on June 21, beginning at Frenchy's Pub in Morgantown. Cost is $25 per rider, (add a passenger as an additional registration for $15; select “Passenger” on the registration form). Registration begins on site at 9 am. Proceeds benefit the Outsiders Charity Club and Children's Organ Transplant Association.

June 21 - Live Music: Brian Babbs

June 25 - Morgan in Motion 5K Run/Walk Series
Join the YMCA of Morgan County for the Morgan in Motion 5K Run/Walk Series on the last Wednesday of each month, April through October. Each month, the run/walk takes place at a different location within the county, featuring parks and camps. This is a free, family-friendly event. Race begins at 6 pm. This month's location is Old Town Waverly Park

June 26 - Studio PhD Class: Chain Making Session
Join jewelry artist Pam Hurst for this monthly Chain Making Session! February's session will feature Infinity Links. Class will meet at the Sterling Butterfly on Morgan Street, on June 26, beginning at 6 pm. Participants in this session will learn to create a specific type of chain. This session has no prerequisites and no soldering or fusing is required. Registration required.

June 27-29 - 2025 Morgan County Antique Machinery Show
The Morgan County Antique Machinery Association invites you to join them for their annual Antique Machinery Show on June 27-29 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds in Martinsville. This three day event includes on site food, exhibit demonstrations, a vintage swap meet, toy tractor show, live music and more! Enjoy truck or tractor pulls each evening, a motorcycle ride on Saturday, and more.  

June 27 - FREE Summer Concert: The Doo!
