Summer's finally here! School's out, pools are opening and it's time to revel in warmer tempsoutdoor activities and relaxing meals on outdoor patios. Whether you have a long summer vacation or have to work throughout the season, you'll want to plan a visit to Morgan County for some of these don't-miss events in June! See the full schedule of outdoor concerts in the area, (or just the free ones) and be sure to keep an eye on our event calendar, as we are always adding new events.

Tuesdays & Saturdays - Morgan County Farmers Market
Stop in and talk to area farmers and artisans at the twice-weekly Morgan County Farmers Market! Find them at the Friends Church in Mooresville on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 pm and at The Main Connection in Martinsville on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Be sure to enjoy a specialty coffee or sweet treat from Sara's Goodies on Saturdays while you browse! (You can also pick up state and local visitor information inside at the Visit Morgan County office.)

Wednesdays - Kids' Summer Movie Series
Join Showtime Cinema in Mooresville for a fun summer movie series just for the kids. Admission is a non-perishable food or toiletry item for Churches in Mission (or 50 cents per person). Movies are on Wednesdays in June and July, featuring popular family films. See calendar listing for movie schedule. 

Thursdays - Cruise-In on the Square
Downtown Martinsville is the place to be on Thursday evenings, as classic car and truck owners cruise-in to the courthouse square for the evening. Cars begin arriving at 5 pm for the weekly Cruise-in on the Square, weather permitting. Browse through the awesome autos on display and enjoy a tasty dinner at one of several downtown eateries around the square.

Saturdays - Dirt Track Racing
Join Paragon Speedway for racing under the lights on this traditional dirt track oval. Dirt track racing at Paragon typically features several classes of cars each night. Pit passes are available. General admission for kids age 10 and under is always free with a paid adult admission. Race dates this month are June 4, 11, 18 and 25. (Special event pricing may apply for some events; see calendar for details.)

First Week of June - Berries & Ivy Country Store Anniversary Sale
Join one of downtown Martinsville's favorite shops, Berries & Ivy Country Store, as they celebrate the current owners' five year anniversary with the store as part of this year's annual anniversary sale! Stop in for fun giveaways and great discounts in the first week of June.

June 1 & 5 - Story Time with "Dinosaur Man" Steve Bodi
Fables and Fairy Tales, Martinsville's local independent book shop, will welcome local resident and amateur paleontologist Steve Bodi as a special story time guest reader! Story times will be on Wednesday, June 1 at 10:30 am and Sunday, June 5 at 2 pm. Watch for details on featured books! Wednesday's story time will feature a craft as well and Steve will share photos and stories from his fossil hunting adventures at both sessions. Everyone who attends either session will receive a real dinosaur bone fragment! RSVP to the store if you plan to attend. This is an all ages event. 

June 3 - Mooresville Free Summer Concert: Back in the Day
The Mooresville Summer Concert Series continues in June with a night of live music from Back in the Day on Friday, June 3. This is a free, all-ages show in beautiful Pioneer Park. Food will be available on site as well as beverages from Cedar Creek Winery and Brew Co. Bring your own seating. 

June 3 - Live Music: Robert Feddersen
Join Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery on June 3 for live music from musician Robert Feddersen, who will take the stage at 6 pm. Free admission. All ages are welcome.

June 4 - Cancer Survivors Day & Martinsville Shaves for the Brave
The Martinsville community will host two events in one on June 4 on the lawn at John R. Wooden Middle School. A free Cancer Survivors Day celebration will take place from 2 to 5 pm to celebrate all survivors, family members, friends and medical professionals. The annual Martinsville Shaves for the Brave event, a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's Foundation will begin at 3 pm. This day of fun will feature carnival games, prizes, yard games, bounce house, food trucks, live entertainment and more! (In case of rain, event will move inside the gym.)

June 4 - Live Music: Sisters Brew & Food Truck
Enjoy Cedar Creek Brew Co's First Friday event featuring live music from Sisters Brew and an onsite food truck! Come out to enjoy great food, locally-crafted beverages from the both the brewery and Cedar Creek Winery and an evening of musical entertainment. This is a monthly special event that takes place on the first Friday of each month, this month's date is June 4. 

June 7 & 21 - Yoga with Cats! 
Enjoy a fun evening of yoga with cats at the Main Branch of the Morgan County Public Library in Martinsville. The Library will provide the space and the yoga instructor, the Morgan County Humane Society will provide the adoptable cats (and kittens!). This fun class will begin at 6:30 pm and you have two chances to participate - June 7 and June 21. This program is open to both adults and families; please bring your yoga mats and bolsters as needed. 

June 9 - Downtown Martinsville Free Summer Concert: Atom Heart Mother
This year's Downtown Martinsville Summer Concert Series continues on June 9 on the courthouse square popular Pink Floyd tribute band Atom Heart Mother. Music begins at 7 pm. This is an all ages show and admission is free. Bring your own seating and plan to grab carryout from a downtown eatery to enjoy before or during the show. 

June 10 - Exhibition Opening: Sunflowers for Ukraine & 2nd Friday Open Studios
Join the Art Sanctuary for their monthly night of open studios with resident artists as well as the opening of special exhibition Sunflowers for Ukraine! See a variety of artwork in different mediums and talk with the artists about their creations. This month's event is June 10. Free admission.

June 11 - 38th Annual Crafty Bear Fare
Delta Theta Tau presents their 37th Annual Crafty Bear Fare on June 11 from 9 am to 3 pm. This year's event will take place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. There will be dozens of booths from local artisans featuring unique, handcrafted items as well as a few direct sale vendors. Admission is free and there will be door prizes and great food available.. Be sure to stop by the teddy bear table where you can help stuff a bear to be donated to the ER at St. Francis Hospital where they will be given to children in need of a cuddly friend for comfort. 

June 11 - Mooresville FUMC Strawberry Festival, BBQ Luncheon & Craft Fair
The Mooresville First United Methodist Church invites you to join them on June 11 for their annual Strawberry Festival, BBQ Luncheon and Craft Fair featuring booths from local crafters. Stop by from 9 am to 3 pm; located across from Pioneer Park. 

June 11 - Martinsville Lions Club Fish Fry
Stop by the Martinsville Youth Development Center on June 11 from 11 am to 5 pm. You'll find the annual Lions Club Fish Fry in the parking lot with fish and tenderloin sandwiches, sides and more!

June 11 - Drink at the Creek Concert: Boy Band Review & Dream Slice
The Drink at the Creek Concert Series at at Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery continues with the a boy-band blast from the 90s! On Saturday, June 11, music from Dream Slice will begin at 5 pm, followed by Boy Band Review at approximately 7 pm. Bring your own seating; overflow parking available at Hoosier Harvest Church. All ages are welcome; kids 12 and under are free. 

June 12 - Live Music: Electric Martinis
Join Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery on June 12 for live music from the Electric Martinis! The popular group will take the stage at 2 pm. Free admission. All ages are welcome.

June 14 - Family Craft Night: Glass & Sea Shell Collage
Join the Morgan County Public Library on June 14 for a fun and family-friendly craft night featuring sea glass and sea shells. Create your own collage, beginning at 6:30 pm. Space is limited, so advance registration is required. This is a creative program, so dress prepared for messiness! 

June 16 - 3rd Thursday on the Square: Patriotic Celebration
Join downtown Martinsville merchants as they stay open late for the 3rd Thursday of each month. Check out each store to find great specials and fun events. This month's event will be June 16 with a Patriotic Celebration theme. This event coincides with the weekly Cruise-in on the Square to create an even more festive atmosphere than usual. Sponsored by Rediscover Martinsville, the city's Main Street Organization. 

June 18 - 6th Annual Cody's Ride
Cody's Ride, a locally based benefit motorcycle ride will begin at Frenchy's Pub in Morgantown on Saturday, June 18. Cost is $25 for single riders or $50 per couple. Registration begins at 11 am and the ride will roll out at 1 pm. Riders receive a t-shirt, wristband, meal, patch and admission to the after party. Proceeds each year benefit a local resident in need. 

June 18 - Morgan County Pre-Fair Concert: Trace Adkins, Lonestar, Diamond Rio
Country music star Trace Adkins will perform on Saturday, June 18 with opening acts (and stars in their own right) Lonestar and Diamond Rio. The evening's music will kick off with local favorites BIGG COUNTRY and recent American Idol contestant Rose O'Neal. Tickets are on sale in advance at rdproductionsllc.com. Music will begin at 5 pm at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. Food and beverages will be available on site. Please bring your own seating. 

June 19 - Live Music: Wild Dogs
Join Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery on June 19 for live music from Wild Dogs. The popular group will take the stage at 4 pm. Free admission. All ages are welcome.

June 23-25 - Pirate Themed Escape Room Activity
The Main Branch of the Morgan County Public Library in Martinsville will present a fun escape room activity, June 23-25. Groups can schedule a time in advance to complete the pirate themed escape room activity. Program is open to all but best suited to ages 7 and up. Your croup will have 45 minutes to solve the clues and complete the puzzles needed to find the treasure before time runs out! Register in advance online or in person at the Library. Program is available from 3 to 8 pm on June 23, from 10 am to 4 pm on June 24 and from 10 am to 4 pm on June 25. 

June 23 - Downtown Martinsville Free Summer Concert: Big Rosco & The Hammers
The Downtown Martinsville Free Summer Concert Series continues on June 23 with live music from Big Rosco and The Hammers. Music begins at 7 pm on the beautiful courthouse square. This is an all ages show and admission is free. Bring your own seating. Food and beverages will be available. 

June 24 - Mooresville Free Summer Concert: Jayne Bond & The Pink Martinis
The Mooresville Free Summer Concert Series continues on Friday, June 24 with a night of live music from Jayne Bond & The Pink Martinis. This is a free, all-ages show in beautiful Pioneer Park. Food will be available on site as well as local adult beverages. Bring your own seating. 

June 25 - Rally in the Valley
The Morgan County Fairgrounds in Martinsville will welcome this year's Rally in the Valley 5K Run/Walk, Car Show and Bike Ride on June 25. Events at the Fairgrounds will include the start and finish line for the 5K, the start of the motorcycle ride and the car show. Admission is free for spectators. The Rally in the Valley is a fundraiser for local non-profit organization Stability First.  

June 25 - LYKKE Summer Fest
Join the Mooresville Arts Partnership on June 25 as they present LYKKE Summer Fest from 11 am to 7 pm. Lykke is a Danish word meaning happiness and good fortune. The event will feature arts and crafts, vendors, food, live music and a fun kids zone with activities! Admission is free. 

June 25 - Madison Township 4th of July Blazin' Celebration
The first of the area's 4th of July celebrations will kick off on Saturday, June 25 at the Madison Township Fire Department. This annual Blazin' Celebration will include entertainment, kids activities, on site food options and of course, fireworks! The celebration begins at 4 pm with a fireworks display at dusk. June 25 - Drink at the Creek Concert: Henry Lee Summer & Mellencourgar
The Drink at the Creek Concert Series at at Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery continues with a decidedly Indiana theme! On Saturday, June 25, music from Mellencougar, a tribute to Hoosier rock star John Mellencamp will begin at 5 pm, followed by native son Henry Lee Summer at approximately 7 pm. Bring your own seating; overflow parking available at Hoosier Harvest Church. All ages are welcome; kids 12 and under are free. 

June 25 & 26 - 2022 Morgan County Antique Machinery Show
This two-day event is a Morgan County tradition! Come to the Morgan County Antique Machinery Show to see a wide variety of antique machinery on June 25 and 26, including tractors, steam powered machines and more. Enjoy the live steam sawmill demonstrations, browse the flea market area and don't forget the homemade ice cream booth! Admission is free. Event takes place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds - enjoy two events at once on Saturday as the Rally in the Valley car show will also be on site at the Fairgrounds!

June 26 - Live Music: Phil Pierle
Join Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery on June 26 for live music from Phil Pierle The regionally well-known acoustic musician will take the stage at 4 pm. Free admission. All ages are welcome.
