Summer's finally here! School's out, pools are opening and it's time to revel in warmer tempsoutdoor activities and relaxing meals on outdoor patios. Whether you have a long summer vacation or have to work throughout the season, you'll want to plan a visit to Morgan County for some of these don't-miss events in June! See the full schedule of outdoor concerts in the area, (or just the free ones) and be sure to keep an eye on our event calendar, as we are always adding new events.

Tuesdays & Saturdays - Morgan County Farmers Market
Stop in and talk to area farmers and artisans at the twice-weekly Morgan County Farmers Market! Find them at the Friends Church in Mooresville on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 pm and at The Main Connection in Martinsville on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Be sure to enjoy a specialty coffee or sweet treat from Sara's Goodies on Saturdays while you browse! (You can also pick up state and local visitor information inside at the Visit Morgan County office.)

Tuesdays - Fairy Tale Engineers
Join the Main Branch of the Morgan County Public Library for a fun series of events featuring STEM activities. Fairy Tale Engineers will meet on Tuesdays at 10:30 am to take on challenges from various fairy tales, such as can you build a catapult for your castle and can you design a better bed for Goldilocks? Advance registration is appreciated. 

Wednesdays - Kids' Summer Movie Series
Join Showtime Cinema in Mooresville for a fun summer movie series just for the kids. Admission is a non-perishable food or toiletry item for Churches in Mission (or 50 cents per person). Movies are on Wednesdays in June and July, featuring popular family films. See calendar listing for movie schedule. 

Thursdays - Food Truck Night in Monrovia
On Thursday evenings this summer, from 5-7 pm, the Monrovia Civic Association is partnering up with Friends of Fred Food Trucks to bring tasty treats to Monrovia! Food Truck Thursdays will feature a different food truck each week at the Monrovia Civic Association building, located just off Main Street. 

Thursdays - Cruise-In on the Square
Downtown Martinsville is the place to be on Thursday evenings, as classic car and truck owners cruise-in to the courthouse square for the evening. Cars begin arriving at 5 pm for the weekly Cruise-in on the Square, weather permitting. Browse through the awesome autos on display and enjoy a tasty dinner at one of several downtown eateries around the square.

Saturdays - Dirt Track Racing
Join Paragon Speedway for racing under the lights on this traditional dirt track oval. Dirt track racing at Paragon typically features several classes of cars each night. Pit passes are available. General admission for kids age 10 and under is always free with a paid adult admission. Race dates this month are June 10, 17 and 24. (Special event pricing may apply for some events; see calendar for details.)

Saturdays - Live Music @ Black Dog Brewing
Each Saturday, enjoy live music at Black Dog Brewing Company in Mooresville. Performers are a wide variety of local and regional musicians - watch our calendar for details closer to each date. In addition to live music (which typically starts at 7 pm), Black Dog also features tasty flat bread pizzas and locally crafted brews. Patio seating and family dining room available. 

Saturdays - Live Music @ Hoosier Que
Bring the whole family to Hoosier Que at Foxcliff Golf Club on Saturdays for live music on the patio (when weather allows)! Watch our calendar for details on featured performers. Live music starts at 7 pm. All ages welcome! Hoosier Que serves up a popular mix of BBQ, pizza and snacks (try the giant pretzel!) for the whole family.   

Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays - Live Music @ Cedar Creek 
Most Fridays at 6 pm, Saturdays at 4 pm (unless there's a Drink at the Creek Concert scheduled) and Sundays at 2 pm, you'll find free live music Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery. When weather allows, performers take the outdoor stage. Enjoy the beautiful grounds and fun atmosphere of Cedar Creek with live music, locally crafted beverages and a great eatery menu as well! 

First Week of June - Berries & Ivy Country Store Anniversary Sale
Join one of downtown Martinsville's favorite shops, Berries & Ivy Country Store, as they celebrate the current owners' five year anniversary with the store as part of this year's annual anniversary sale! Stop in for fun giveaways and great discounts in the first week of June.

June 1 - FREE Summer Concert: 45 RPM
This year's Downtown Martinsville Summer Concert Series continues on June 1 at the new Downtown Performance Venue with popular regional band 45 RPM. Music begins at 7:30 pm. This is an all ages show and admission is free. Bring your own seating and plan to grab carryout from a downtown eatery or on site food truck to enjoy before or during the show. 

June 3 - Cancer Survivors Day & Martinsville Shaves for the Brave
The Martinsville community will host two events in one on June 3 on the lawn at The Main Connection. A free Cancer Survivors Day celebration will take place from 2 to 5 pm to celebrate all survivors, family members, friends and medical professionals. The annual Martinsville Shaves for the Brave event, a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's Foundation will begin at 3 pm. This day of fun will feature carnival games, prizes, yard games, bounce house, food trucks, live entertainment and more! (In case of rain, event will move inside the gym.)

June 3 - Mooresville FUMC Strawberry Festival & Craft Fair
The Mooresville First United Methodist Church invites you to join them on June 3 for their annual Strawberry Festival and Craft Fair, featuring booths from local crafters. Stop by from 9 am to 3 pm; located across from Pioneer Park. Enjoy a Bar-b-que lunch, available on site!

June 3 - Live Music: The Mikey Goode Band
Head for downtown Mooresville to enjoy live music from The Mikey Goode Band on the stage at Bicentennial Park, located at the corner of Main Street and Indiana Street. Bring your own seating and grab dinner from a nearby eatery! All ages welcome. The Bicentennial Park Concert Series takes place once per month, June through September. 

June 4 - Paint Party @ Hoosier Que
Join Fables & Fairy Tales as they take their creativity on the road to Hoosier Que at Foxcliff Golf Club on June 4 at 6 pm. Paint Party participants will create their own painted wooden sign with guidance from an instructor. Cost is $40 and includes all materials. Full menu and drinks will be available during the event.  

June 6-10 - Community Book Fair
Do you miss the annual school days tradition of the Book Fair? Well, the Morgan County Coalition for Literacy has you covered - join them at Central Education Center in Martinsville for a Community Book Fair on June 6-10. You'll find all the fun Scholastic books, pens, erasers and more that you've been missing out on as an adult! 

June 8-25 - 7 Keys to Baldpate
Horizon Hillside Theatre presents a fun production of 7 Keys to Baldpate! This fun theatrical production is based on a novel written in 1913 that tells the story of a famous author, who comes to a summer mountain resort in the dead of winter, determined to find peace and quiet to write his next book. Tickets are available online

June 9 - FREE Summer Concert: Big Rosco & The Hammers
The Mooresville Summer Concert Series continues in June with a night of live music from Big Rosco & The Hammers on Friday, June 9. This is a free, all-ages show in beautiful Pioneer Park. Food will be available on site as well as locally crafted beverages. Bring your own seating; coolers welcome, but no outside alcohol. 

June 9 - Open Studios Night
Art Sanctuary of Indiana invites you to join them on the second Friday of each month for their Open Studios Night. This month's featured exhibition will be works from artist Cindy Wiltermood, plus you can mingle and chat with resident artists in their working studios! Stop in between 6:30 and 8:30 pm. 

June 10 - Crafty Bear Fare
Delta Theta Tau presents their 38th Annual Crafty Bear Fare on June 10 from 9 am to 3 pm. This year's event will take place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. There will be dozens of booths from local artisans featuring unique, handcrafted items as well as a few direct sale vendors. Admission is free and there will be door prizes and great food available.. Be sure to stop by the teddy bear table where you can help stuff a bear to be donated to the ER at St. Francis Hospital where they will be given to children in need of a cuddly friend for comfort. 

June 10 - Martinsville Lions Club Fish Fry
Stop by the Martinsville Youth Development Center parking lot on Morton Avenue on June 11 from 11 am to 5 pm. You'll find the annual Martinsville Lions Club Fish Fry in the parking lot with fish and tenderloin sandwiches, sides and more!

June 10 - Miles for Monrovia 5K Run/Walk
Head for Monrovia on June 10 for the Miles for Monrovia 5K Run/Walk! This event will raise money for the Monrovia High School Girls Track & Field Team. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Packet pickup begins at 7:30 am with the race beginning at 8:30 am. This race will take place on the cross country course, so you will be walking/running on a grass surface. Cost is $30 for adults; $10 kids age 4 and up. 

June 10 - Popcorn & Painting for Adults
The Morgan County Public Library will host another session of Popcorn & Painting for Adults on June 10, beginning at 10:30 am. Space is limited, so advance registration is required. Participants will create a painting featuring a red, white and blue jar. Sign up online or at the library. 

June 10 - 7th Annual Cody's Ride
Cody's Ride, a locally based benefit motorcycle ride will begin at Frenchy's Pub in Morgantown on Saturday, June 10. Cost is $25 for single riders or $50 per couple. Registration begins at 10 am and the ride will roll out at 12:30 pm. Riders receive a t-shirt, wristband, meal, patch and admission to the after party at Bill Monroe Music Park. Proceeds each year benefit a local resident in need. 

June 10 - Drink at the Creek: Shania Twin & The Ultimate Carrie
It's time for a bit of country at Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery - join them for a Drink at the Creek Concert featuring tribute performers Shania Twin and The Ultimate Carrie on June 10. Music begins at 5 pm. Bring your own seating. All ages welcome. Coolers welcome but no outside alcohol allowed. On site food and beverages. Bring the whole family for a day at The Creek!

June 11 - Beer, Boards & Brush
Join Fables & Fairy Tales as they go on the road to Black Dog Brewing Company in Mooresville for another fun day of creativity! This Beer, Boards & Brush event will take place on June 11 at 2 pm. Participants will create their very own summer themed wooden sign. Class is held in the family seating area, so those under 21 are welcome. Fee includes all materials. Register online in advance as space is limited. 

June 12 - Family Craft Night: Fairy Houses
It's craft night for the whole family at the Morgan County Public Library! Join them on June 12 at 6:30 pm for an evening of creating your very own fairy house. Dress for a mess - you'll be gluing and painting your project. Advance registration is required. Best suited to ages 5 and up. 

June 17 - Downtown Sidewalk Sales
Join Downtown Martinsville businesses on June 17 from 10 am to 5 pm for a day of sidewalk sales. Items and deals will vary greatly from shop to shop, so come prepared to enjoy walking around the Downtown Historic District - and don't forget to stop off for lunch or a treat at a local eatery! 

June 17 - Cruisin' with Cops Car Show
The Mooresville Police Department invites you to come Cruisin' with the Cops on Saturday, June 17 at South Bridge Crossing. This event will take place from Noon to 5 pm with a variety of classic cars, food and beer trucks and more.

June 17 & 26 - Popcorn & Painting for Kids 
The Morgan County Public Library will host two sessions of Popcorn & Painting for Kids on June 17 and 26, beginning at 10:30 am. Space is limited, so advance registration is required. Participants will create a painting featuring a cute little mushroom house. Sign up online or at the library. 

June 17 - Ashley McBryde, Tanya Tucker, Neal McCoy & Easton Corbin
Have you got your tickets for the biggest music event in Morgan County this year? On Saturday, June 17, at Morgan County Fairgrounds, you can see Grammy Award winning artists Ashley McBryde and Tanya Tucker with Neal McCoy and Easton Corbin! Music begins at 5 pm. Four seating areas available with admission ranging from $25 to $100 per person. Bring your own seating. Food and beverages available on site.  

June 22 - FREE Summer Concert: The Doo!
Enjoy a free summer concert at the Downtown Performance Venue in Martinsville on Thursday, June 22. Music begins at 7:30 pm with The Doo! Bring your own seating. Enjoy dinner from a downtown eatery or onsite food truck. Locally crafted beverages from Cedar Creek will be available on site as well. 

June 23 - FREE Summer Concert: Indy Annies
Enjoy live music from the Indy Annies on Friday, June 23 with another free summer concert at beautiful Pioneer Park in Mooresville. Music begins at 7 pm. Food truck and beverages sales available on site. Bring your own seating; all ages welcome. 

June 24 - Rally in the Valley 5K, Motorcycle Ride & Car Show
The Morgan County Fairgrounds in Martinsville will welcome this year's Rally in the Valley 5K Run/Walk, Car Show and Bike Ride on June 24. Events at the Fairgrounds will include the start and finish line for the 5K, the start of the motorcycle ride and the car show. Admission is free for spectators. The Rally in the Valley is a fundraiser for local non-profit organization Stability First.  

June 24 & 25 - Morgan County Antique Machinery Show
This two-day event is a Morgan County tradition! Come to the Morgan County Antique Machinery Show to see a wide variety of antique machinery on June 25 and 26, including tractors, steam powered machines and more. Enjoy the live steam sawmill demonstrations, browse the flea market area and don't forget the homemade ice cream booth! Admission is free. Event takes place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds - enjoy two events at once on Saturday as the Rally in the Valley car show will also be on site at the Fairgrounds! 

June 24 - Lykke Summer Fest
Join the Mooresville Arts Partnership on June 25 as they present LYKKE Summer Fest from 11 am to 7 pm. Lykke is a Danish word meaning happiness and good fortune. The event will feature arts and crafts, vendors, food, live music and a fun kids zone with activities! Admission is free. 

June 24 - Morgan County Special Olympics Summer Festival
Morgan County Special Olympics will host a Summer Festival at Pioneer Park in Mooresville on June 24, from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be vendors, food trucks, a dunk tank, relay team events and even Flatford Concessions & Carnival Games! This event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

June 24 - Drink at the Creek: Barracuda & Crush
Head for Cedar Creek WineryBrew Co & Distillery on Saturday, June 24 for another awesome Drink at the Creek concert! Music starts at 5 pm with two nationally touring tribute bands - Barracuda (Heart tribute) and Crush (Bon Jovi tribute). Get a discounted four pack of tickets online ahead of the show! All ages welcome; bring your own seating. Picnics welcome; no outside alcohol allowed. 

June 27 - Happy Together, A 60s Concert
Join the Martinsville Community Choir for an evening of fun and familiar tunes! Happy Together, A 60s Concert will take place on Tuesday, June 27 at the Art Sanctuary of Indiana and will feature a variety of your favorite songs from the 60s. Music begins at 6:30 pm. Donations are gratefully accepted, but not required. 

June 29-July 1 - Escape Room!
The Morgan County Public Library's Main Branch in Martinsville has done it again! If you enjoyed their Escape Room program last year, get ready for another fun adventure. Reserve a time for your group on June 29-July 1 and see if you're up to the challenge. You'll have 45 minutes to solve the clues and escape! Reservations can be made in person or by phone (765-342-3451). Best suited to participants age 7 and up. 

June 30 - FREE Summer Concert: Rich Hardesty
Next up in the Free Summer Concert Series at the new Downtown Performance Venue in Martinsville is Rich Hardesty on Friday, June 30. These fun concerts take place at the corner of Jefferson Street and Pike Street, just a block off the courthouse square. Music begins at 7:30 pm. Bring your own seating. Food trucks (and downtown eateries) will be open for dinner along with local beverage sales from Cedar Creek. 

June 30 - FRIDAY Night Racing: Hornet Special & Fireworks Celebration 
Paragon Speedway will host a special Friday night of dirt track racing, including a Hornet Special, plus their annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration! Come on out and celebrate. Hot laps begin at 6 pm; racing starts at 7 pm and fireworks will take place at dark.
