Summer's finally here! Time to revel in warmer temps, outdoor activities and relaxing meals on outdoor patios. Whether you have a long summer vacation or have to work throughout the season, you'll want to plan a visit to Morgan County for some of these don't-miss events in June! Keep an eye on our calendar as we are always adding new events.
Morgan County Farmers Market
Stop in and talk to area farmers and artisans at the twice-weekly Morgan County Farmers Market! Find them at the Friends Church in Mooresville on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 pm and at The Main Connection in Martinsville on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Be sure to enjoy a specialty coffee drink from Maggie's at the Main on Saturdays while you browse!
Kids' Summer Movie Series
Join Showtime Cinema in Mooresville for a fun summer music series just for the kids. Admission is a non-perishable food or toiletry item for Churches in Mission (or 50 cents per person). Movies are on Wednesdays in June and July, featuring popular family films. See calendar listing for movie schedule.
Dirt Track Racing
Join Paragon Speedway for Friday night racing under the lights on this traditional dirt track oval. Racing begins at 7:30 pm featuring several classes of cars. Pit passes are available. General admission for kids age 10 and under is always free. Regular general admission costs are $15 for ages 11 and up and $30 for pits. Special event pricing will apply for the Chuck Amati Classic on June 21.
Link Observatory Events
Join the experts at Link Observatory Space Science Institute to learn more about the cosmos this summer. There is open observation at the Observatory on the first Saturday of each month (June 1), plus daytime open hours on June 13. Come see the historic observatory in daylight and learn exactly how and why it was built in Morgan County. Free admission

Stop by Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co & Distillery on June 1 and enjoy live music from regional favorites The Wilsons. Music begins at 4 pm. Free admission.
Berries & Ivy Country Store Anniversary Sale
Join one of downtown Martinsville's favorite shops, Berries & Ivy Country Store, as they celebrate the current owners' five year anniversary with the store as part of this year's annual sale! Stop in for fun giveaways and great discounts, June 1-8.
Live Music: The 78's
Join Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co & Distillery on June 2 for live music from the 78's. The popular duo, featuring Brett Hardin and Faith Marie, features a variety of covers and some original music. Music begins at 2 pm. Free admission.

3rd Annual Wheels for Veterans Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show
Join the Mooresville Fraternal Order of Eagles on June 8 for the third year of this fun car, truck and motorcycle show. There will be refreshments on site, live music, door prizes, drawings and even a dunk tank! Awards will be given out at 2 pm. Admission is free for spectators.
RoadRunner Rally in the Valley
Downtown Martinsville will welcome the RoadRunner Rally in the Valley 5K Run/Walk, Car Show and Bike Ride on June 8. Events will be held on the downtown courthouse square and adjoining streets. This is the first year for this one of a kind event. Admission is free for spectators.
BBQ & Beer Pop Up Event
Join the The Farmhouse Market in Mooresville for this fun pop up event on June 8 featuring BBQ and beer! From 10 am to 4 pm, check out this fun marketplace style shop, browse through outdoor craft vendors and enjoy BBQ and beer from area food truck vendors. Free admission.
Mooresville Block Party & Tastes Like Chicken Concert
Join downtown Mooresville on June 8 for a fun block party event with great food, vendors and more! Then, enjoy the first of several summer concerts at Mooresville's Bicentennial Park, as the series kicks off on with popular band Tastes Like Chicken. Located right downtown, within easy walking distance of area restaurants, Bicentennial Park is a great casual concert venue. Music begins at 7 pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the show. Indiana Cutters vs Warriors
The Indiana Cutters semi-professional football team plays home games in Martinsville at the High School football field. If you're missing football season, this is a great way to get through the summer months! The Cutters will take on the Warriors on Sunday, June 9.

Pour 'n More Fluid Acrylic Pouring Classes
Join popular Brown County based artist Anabel Hopkins on Monday, June 10 and Thursday, June 20 at The Sterling Butterfly for messy, creative fun featuring the exciting art method of acrylic pouring. Participants will create two pieces of artwork under the direction of artist Anabel Hopkins. All materials included. No experience needed. Advanced registration required, as class size is limited.
2nd Friday at The Art Sanctuary
Join the Art Sanctuary for their monthly night of open studios, open mic performances and more! See a variety of artwork in different mediums and talk with the artists about their creations, then head downstairs to enjoy performances that could range from music to dance to spoken word. This month's event is June 14. Free admission.
Moonfinders & Big Dippers
The Morgan County Public Library will presented a program featuring the night sky on June 13. Participants will create their own moon and star finder that will improve their understanding of the night sky, with the assistance of expert Dan Goins. Program is free, but please pre-register as space is limited.
Martinsville Summer Concert: Big Rosco & The Hammers
The first ever Downtown Martinsville Summer Concert Series kicks off on June 13 at 5 pm with Big Rosco and The Hammers. These fun Thursday evening concerts will be held next door to the Art Sanctuary of Indiana, just one block off the courthouse square. Food trucks will be on site. Bring a lawn chair and blanket. Admission is free.
Medieval Dinner Theatre: Murder Most Fowl
A unique twist on a murder mystery dinner, this event will take place on the lawn at The Main Connection in Martinsville. When you enter the tent, you'll be transported back in time to the 14th Century! Interact with the King, Queen, Royal Falconer and other characters as you help them solve the mystery of a Murder Most Fowl. You'll also enjoy a five course, Medieval Royal Feast. This event is a partnership between Holy Smoke Hog Roast Company and the Merry MAC Players community theatre group. Performances will be held June 13-16. Children ages 6 and older are welcome.
What's a silent disco? Well, participants don a set of wireless headphones, then choose their preference from three music channels available. Without headphones, you'll hear no music at all! Join the Martinsville Rotary Club on June 14 for this fun fundraiser at Brickhouse on Main. A cash bar will be available. Music channels for this event will include Blue - a mix of 70s and 80s dance hits and 80s and 90s alternative rock, Red - hip hop and current dance hits, and Green 0 classic rock and danceable country tunes.
Cruise in Car & Bike Show Off
The American Legion Post 230 will host a cruise in car and bike show off event on June 15. There will be live music, food, a bounce house for the kids and door prizes as you browse through participating cars trucks and motorcycles at the American Legion building on Morgan Street in Martinsville. Admission is free for spectators.
Drink at the Creek Concert: Jeffrey Steele and Anthony Smith
This popular summer concert series from Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co and Distillery continues on June 15 with successful Nashville based singer/songwriters Jeffrey Steele and Anthony Smith. You may know recognize their names, but you'll know their songs! Show will open with local favorites Bigg Country at 5 pm. Advanced tickets are available.
Live Music: Phil Pierle
Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co and Distillery welcomes back popular musician Phil Pierle for their more relaxed, acoustic concerts on Sundays. Music begins at 2 pm on June 16. Admission is free.
8 Track Mind Concert
This free concert at Bicentennial Park in downtown Mooresville will feature 8 Track Mind, a Bloomington-based band that plays rock with soul and soul that rocks. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, and hit up a nearby restaurant for dinner before the show! Music begins at 7 pm on June 22.
Live Music: Hey Hey
Fun local band Hey Hey will perform at Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co and Distillery on Saturday, June 22 beginning at 4 pm. This popular local group will play well known tunes with their own special twist. Admission is free.
2019 Morgan County Antique Machinery Show
This two-day event is a Morgan County tradition! Come see a wide variety of antique machinery, including tractors, steam powered machines and more. Enjoy the live steam sawmill demonstrations, browse the flea market area and don't forget the homemade ice cream booth! Admission is free.
Drink at the Creek Concert: 7 Bridges & Rockin Horse
Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co and Distillery welcome another fun Drink at the Creek Concert! On Sunday, June 23, catch Eagles tribute band 7 Bridges on stage along with popular regional band Rockin Horse! The music will begin at 5 pm. Lawn chairs are welcome. Advance tickets are available.
Martinsville Summer Concert: Atom Heart Mother
The second concert in this four part series will take place on Thursday, June 27 featuring the Pink Floyd Tribute band Atom Heart Mother. Music begins at 5 pm. Food vendors will be on site at the corner of Jefferson and Pike Streets just one block from the Martinsville Courthouse Square, next to the Art Sanctuary. Free admission.
Drink at the Creek Concert: Trippin Billies & Combo Nation
The third Drink at the Creek Concert to take place in June this summer, this June 29 event will present the Dave Matthews tribute band Trippin Billies, along with regional favorites Combo Nation. Enjoy locally crafted beverages from Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co and Distillery as you listen to this great outdoor show. Music begins at 5 pm. Advanced tickets are available.
Live Music: The Hammer and The Hatchet
Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co and Distillery will welcome The Hammer and The Hatchet, an American Roots duo featuring John Bowyer and Jayme Hood. Catch them live on Sunday, June 30, beginning at 2 pm. Free admission.
