Who's ready for spring!? We can't wait for warm, sunny days, dogwood and redbud trees in bloom and more time spent outside...and Spring Break, of course! It's the perfect season for some hiking - there's nothing like watching nature awaken from its winter sleep. Make sure you're prepared to hit the trails with your mud boots - spring can be messy out in the forest (or opt for less messy paved trails). Get out and enjoy everything that early springtime in Morgan County has to offer. To help get you started here's a handy list of upcoming events in March, but check back as we'll be adding new events to our calendar throughout the month.
Fridays - Taps on the Square
Each and every Friday the buglers of Bugles Across American and Indiana Spirit of '45 invite you to join them as they honor American heroes with Taps on the Square. This weekly local tradition has become an iconic part of Downtown Martinsville and takes place on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn. Meet up beginning at 6:45 pm; Taps is played at the seventh bell (7 pm).
Mar. 1 - Live Music: The 78s
Cedar Creek Winery and Brew Co invites you to join them for live music from The 78s on Sunday, March 1. Music will begin at 2 pm inside the Taproom. This is a free performance and all ages are welcome. The Cedar Creek Eatery will be open on site as well.
Mar. 3 - Studio PH.D Class: Forging & Forming Skills
The Sterling Butterfly will host a Studio PH.D class on Forging & Forming Skills with jewelry artisan Pam Hurst on Tuesday, March 3, beginning at 6 pm. This is one of the five pre-requisite classes required to take more advanced courses. Class size is limited, so register early at thesterlingbutterfly.com.
Mar. 3 - Community Concert: The French Family Band
The Morgan County Community Concerts Association is proud to bring The French Family Band to the Martinsville High School Auditorium on Tuesday, March 3. Music begins at 7 pm with this fun family ensemble based in Australia/New Zealand. If you love country and western swing icons, you'll love this performance! Mar. 5 - Studio PH.D Class: Charm School
The Sterling Butterfly will host another fun Studio PH.D class with jewelry artisan Pam Hurst on Thursday, March 5, beginning at 6 pm. Charm School is a monthly class that's open to all skill levels. Class size is limited, so register early at thesterlingbutterfly.com.
Mar. 6 - Live Music: Ellie Bales Band
67 Boars Nest will host a n evening of live music with the Ellie Bales Band on Friday, March 6. Music begins at 8 pm. Ages 21+ only in the bar area.
Mar. 7 - Movie at The MET: The Wizard of OZ
We've all seen The Wizard of Oz, but have you seen it on the big screen? Step into one of the most beloved films of all time the way it's meant to be seen, and watch the moment that movie history changed forever as plain, sepia-toned Kansas shifts to the dazzling colors of Oz! Mar. 7 - Songwriter Showcase: Russ Baum, Taylor Hernly, Kris Garner
Black Dog Brewing Company will host another Songwriter Showcase on Saturday, March 7. Featured performers will be Russ Baum, Taylor Hernly, and Kris Garner. Music begins at 7 pm in the family dining area and all ages are welcome!
Mar. 8 - Movie at The MET: Sound of Music
Experience one of the most beloved films of all time as The Sound of Music returns to the theatre where it belongs. Mar. 10 - British Invasion Concert
Love those British rock bands that invaded the airwaves of the United States beginning in the 1960s? Mar. 13 - Movie at The MET: Cool Hand Luke
Martinsville Entertainment Theatre presents the classic film starring Paul Newman, Cool Hand Luke. Mar. 14 - 2026 Morgan County GardenFest
The Morgan County Master Gardeners will host their annual GardenFest and Pansy Sale event at Mooresville Christian Academy on Saturday, March 14, from 9 am to 3 pm. This event features vendor booths, educational speakers, a Q&A opportunity with Master Gardeners and more! Food vendors available on site.
Mar. 14 - Silent Disco at The Creek
Cedar Creek Winery and Brew Co invites you to join them for another fun evening of Silent Disco, from the Martinsville Rotary Club on March 14, beginning at 6 pm. This fun event features dance music via headsets where you get to choose the music, so you can hang and dance with friends, even if you don't agree on the tunes! The best part? Proceeds benefit the community through Rotary Club projects throughout the year!
Mar. 14 - Captain Fantastic

Gone with the Wind isn’t just a movie — it’s a turning point in film history. Mar. 15 - Sip & Paint Date Night: Night Blossoms at Dusk

Mar. 17 - St. Patrick's Day at The Creek

Mar. 20 - Flip Flops & Frost 80s Dance Party
Cedar Creek Winery and Brew Co invites you to a Flip Flops & Frost 80s Dance Party on Friday, March 20, the first official day of spring. You pick your season - early spring, or the last gasps of winter, and dress accordingly, with 80s flair, of course. Cedar Creek will provide the 80s tunes and the locally crafted beverages. Mar. 21 - Motor City Revue

Mar. 27 - Benefit for Morgan County Veterans Memorial

Mar. 28 - Maple Syrup Day
Bradford Woods will host their annual Maple Syrup Day on Saturday, March 28. Come on out to one of the most beautiful spots in central Indiana, learn how maple syrup is made, and enjoy a free pancake breakfast to taste the results! Come prepared - there will be a silent auction on site with fun prizes and all proceeds benefit Bradford Woods programs. Stop by between 10 am and 1 pm.
