Get a jump on your holiday shopping, or pick up some handmade items or seasonal decor for yourself - you'll find it all at Morgan County area craft shows and bazaars. Churches, non-profits. and other groups host several fun craft shows throughout the fall and holiday season. Check our shopping listings for local boutiques, antique shops and more, and don't forget about the area's many fall festivals - a few are included here if they have large vendor areas, but almost all of them feature some vendor booths. (Watch for another post soon featuring Holiday Craft Shows in Nov. & Dec.!)

Shop a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors at the Old Town Waverly Park Festival.

SEPTEMBER:

Colonel Vawter Day - Sept. 14
Morgantown's annual festival, Colonel Vawter Day, always includes vendor booths with locally handcrafted items! Stop by on Saturday, September 14 to check out what's available this year. While you're there, take in the rest of the festivities, including a 5K run/walk, car show, pet parade, chainsaw carving, a fun kids zone and more! Vendor booths open at 9 am. 

Downtown Mooresville Street Fair - Sept. 14
One in a series of Mooresville Street Fair events, downtown Mooresville invites you to come enjoy shopping a wide variety of vendors and local shops on Saturday, September 14, from 10 am to 3 pm. There will be a variety of food trucks on hand as well as music in Bicentennial Park that afternoon. 

Brooklyn Fire Department Fish Fry & Craft Fair - Sept. 21
The Brooklyn Fire Department will host their annual fish fry and craft fair event on September 21. Stop by and shop the local vendor booths featuring handcrafted arts and crafts, beginning at 11 am. Be sure to grab a tasty lunch while you're there! 

Crafty Bear Fare - Sept. 21
Join the Lambda Nu chapter of Delta Theta Tau for their 40th Annual Crafty Bear Fare at the Morgan County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 21! The Craft Fair will run from 11 am to 5 pm, but that's not all this year... there will also be a car show, food trucks, a kids zone and live entertainment, so bring the whole family! Browse through 120+ vendors featuring local and regional artisans and crafters. 

Fall Little Red Barn Market - Sept. 21
Join Walker's Homestead for their fun fall vendor market! There will be fun activities for the kids including crafts and a petting zoo, plus more than 70 handmade vendor booths, food trucks, live music, u-pick flowers and more. Stop by between 10 am and 4 pm (or spring for the VIP Experience and score exclusive early access at 9 am, VIP parking, a swag bag, coffee, cupcake and $5 in market bucks to spend). Regular admission is only $3 per person.    

Old Town Waverly Park Festival - Sept. 28 & 29
This annual celebration at Old Town Waverly Park will take place on September 28 & 29. The event includes a wide variety of vendor booths, hands on activities, traditional arts demonstrations and live entertainment. Many crafters and artisans will be on hand both days of the festival. 

Apple Festival & Craft Fair - Sept. 28 & 29
Anderson Orchard hosts 80+ craft vendors at this fun annual event the last weekend in September. This year's dates are September 28 & 29. Craft fair hours are 10 am to 6 pm each day and the orchard is open until 8 pm. This is a rain or shine event. Plan to pick your own apples or raspberries wilt you're there, or just shop the orchard store, and don't miss the concession stand! 

 

Brickhouse on Main will host a marketplace event during the Fall Foliage Festival on Oct. 6

OCTOBER:

Fall Brickhouse Marketplace - Oct. 10
Brickhouse on Main will host a selection of fall themed craft vendors on Thursday evening during the Fall Foliage Festival, October 10. Stop by to browse local crafters, artisans and direct sales vendors. Be sure to check out the festival booths while you're in town as well! 

Fall Foliage Festival Harvest Tent - Oct. 10-13
The Harvest Tent on the square is always filled with local vendors during the Fall Foliage Festival. You'll also find vendors around the outside of the courthouse throughout the weekend. Many are artisans with locally handcrafted goods, through some are also direct sales booths. 

Mooresville Arts-a-palooza Fall Festival - Oct. 19
Join the Mooresville Arts Partnership on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10 am to 4 pm for their annual fall festival - Arts-a-palooza! It's filled with entertainment, arts activities, a car show, a wide variety of vendor booths and more.  

Corinth Baptist Church Annual Craft Fair - Oct. 19
The Craft Club at Corinth Baptist Church will host their annual Craft Fair at the Church on Plano Road on Saturday, October 19, from 10 am to 2 pm. They'll have a wide variety of locally crafted items including seasonal and holiday craft items. Stop by and browse. Lunch will be available on site from 11 am to 1 pm.  (Date Not Confirmed)
