The transformation from Halloween to Holidays is a big on at this fun shop - so big that they'll completely close up shop on Nov. 6 to make the switch, then unveil their holiday spirit on Nov. 7! This family-owned shop is a Martinsville tradition, and so is their annual Christmas Open House event! Seriously, there are typically people waiting in line outside the store when the doors open at 10 am. Why, you ask? Well, to get a jump on that holiday shopping, of course... and because the first 50 customers in the door receive a special gift! No matter what time you arrive, you'll find holiday home decor and gift items to delight those on your shopping list (or maybe yourself).
Martinsville Candy Kitchen

The Martinsville Candy Kitchen will kick off their 101st Candy Cane Season on Saturday, Nov. 7. Enjoy one of three candy cane pours throughout the day, shop for your favorite candies and chocolates, indulge in some ice cream... and don't forget to place those holiday candy cane orders if you haven't already! Willowfield Lavender Farm will host their annual Holiday Open House event on November 19-22. Hours will be 11 am to 5 pm, Thursday through Saturday, and Noon to 4 pm Sunday. Stop in and pick up lavender scented gifts for your loved ones (or yourself!) to help make this holiday season one to remember. Current guidelines in place at the shop include facemasks, a limited number of customers inside at one time, and gloves (provided). You can also order via their online store; orders can be shipped or picked up at the farm by appointment.
Third Thursday Shop the Square Event: Shop Small
Downtown Martinsville
Downtown Martinsville merchants will be kicking off Shop Small Saturday a bit early this year! That's right, come out on the Third Thursday of November for an evening of shopping, food and fun. It'll also be the kickoff to downtown's Small Business Saturday passport program. That gives all you shoppers time to get out and shop small before the official Small Business Saturday date on November 28. Pick up your passport anytime, beginning on Thursday, November 19 and take as much time as you like between the 19th and the 28th to shop small businesses in downtown Martinsville!

Okay guys, this one's for you - you don't want to miss the December 17th Third Thursday Shop the Square event. This fun event from downtown Martinsville merchants has a different theme each month and December's theme is "Guys Night Out." Intended to provide a helpful (and fun) holiday shopping experience just for the guys, this event will feature great holiday gift ideas for all the important people on your shopping list. From gifts for the ladies to ideas on how to delight the little ones, this is your night to get out there and get that shopping done while you support locally-owned businesses at the same time.
