Located on the northern edge of Morgan County, Mooresville is a classic small town - Main Street looks just like a postcard, featuring antique shops, local dining and more. Mooresville is the second largest community in Morgan County with a population of approximately 10,000. Its close proximity to the Indianapolis International Airport make it a convenient first stop for many visitors to the Hoosier State. Known as the "Home of the Indiana State Flag," a larger-than-life replica of the torch depicted on the flag stands at the intersection of State Road 67 and Indiana Street. You'll also see the flames of the torch, depicted as public art in a beautiful sculpture in Bicentennial Park, located at the intersection of Main and Indiana Streets. The park is home to a free summer concert series each year featuring local and regional musicians. Long known as a culinary destination, some of the area's most popular restaurants are in Mooresville. Both Gray Brothers Cafeteria and Zydeco's Cajun, have nationally known reputations, thanks to appearances on The Food Network and other national media. Other local favorites include Ralph and Ava's Public House, Squealer's Award Winning BBQ and Bran n' Shorts.
