Looking for a way to make this Valentine's Day a memorable one? With the ongoing pandemic, there are fewer events to attend and many are still shying away from anywhere that's likely to be crowded. That doesn't mean you can't show your sweetie how much they mean to you in style... here are a few of our favorite Valentine's Day treats and special deals for 2021.

Valentine's Day Menu at 21 North

21 North Eatery and Cellar in downtown Martinsville is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions, and Valentine's Day is no exception. Chef Matt and his staff have a very special Valentine's Day menu on offer February 12 and 13. Reservations are required, so make yours early! On Friday, they'll be seating diners at 5, 7 and 9 pm. On Saturday, seatings are for 4, 6 and 8 pm. The evening's menu looks amazing and the cost is $90 per person with wine pairings, or $75 per person without wine.

Dessert before Dinner (and other treats) at the Martinsville Candy Kitchen

The Martinsville Candy Kitchen is bringing back their popular Dessert before Dinner event! Reservations are available for Saturday, February 13 from 10 am to 7:30 pm and Sunday, February 14 from 1 to 5:30 pm. Be sure to pre-order your dessert preference when you make reservations - supplies will be limited. Dessert options will include The Best Vanilla Bean Cheesecake with your choice of topping, Her Favorite Chocolate Cake, or Milk(shake) and Cookies. You can't go wrong with this one - reserve a table, or order for carryout. Other classic Valentine's Day treats are available as well, including chocolate covered strawberries, heart shaped candy canes and of course you can customize your own perfect box of chocolates for your special someone!

Sweet Treats from Knead the Dough Bakery or Nosh Dessert Parlour

Order up some sweet treats for your Valentine with options in both Martinsville and Mooresville. Martinsville's popular bakery, Knead the Dough, offers some fun Valentine's Day treats. Pickup up a DIY Valentine's Day cookie kit - these are particularly popular with the younger set. Order your sweetie a bouquet of donuts or some chocolate covered strawberries to satisfy their sweet tooth. Mooresville's Nosh Dessert Parlour is also taking pre-orders for fun Valentine's treats. Custom cookies are always a treat, and their paint-your-own cookies are particularly fun!  No matter which you choose, you know they'll be a tasty treat!

DIY Kits from Fables and Fairy Tales

These DIY craft kits from Fables and Fairy Tales are becoming very popular and the February kit is super cute with a Valentine's Day theme. They offer an in-store class with instruction on February 7 if you'd like to have a finished product to gift to your sweetie, but an even better option might be to purchase the kit and create your own at home, creative date night! Everything you need is included in the kit (yes, there are easy-to-follow directions for the craft-challenged).

A Weekend Getaway at Brickhouse Loft

For the ultimate romantic gesture, a weekend getaway is always a hit. Brickhouse Loft is Martinsville's newest lodging option, located just steps from the downtown square's many dining and shopping opportunities. The property features eight beautiful and luxurious suites. Not to worry if they're already booked up for Valentine's Day weekend or it just doesn't work for your schedule, you can always purchase a gift certificate to stay at a later date. You'll still get credit for the great gift idea, and your sweetie will enjoy helping to plan what's included in your future weekend away!
