The Morgan County Community Concerts Association is a local volunteer-led, non-profit, membership organization that is committed to bringing world class performing artists and local area audiences together in a high quality and affordable series of performances. Each year, the group puts together a five to six concert season that roughly coincides with the school year, featuring performances from bands, ensembles, symphonies, and more - even comedians!
Community leaders founded the Morgan County Community Concerts Association in 1994, noting that the surrounding area was below national averages in income and cultural opportunities that were easily accessible to all. The group has provided a range of cultural events and experiences that delight audiences of all ages. The series utilizes local school and church facilities for performance space and coincides with the school year, so performers can also visit local schools for concerts, classroom opportunities and question and answer time with the artists. Those students are then encouraged to bring their parents to the regularly scheduled concert in the evening - free of charge.
For non-school related attendees, the concerts are still a very affordable expense and a bargain in terms of cultural and artistic experiences! For those who live in Morgan County, or within easy driving distance, full season subscriptions are the most affordable option. A full season subscription cost is $60 for adults, $20 for students, or a family subscription for two adults and kids under the ages of 18 for $130. For those who aren't able to commit to the full subscription, including visitors to the area, single show tickets can be purchased as well at a cost of $20 for adults, $10 for students, or $55 for a family. Both subscriptions or single show tickets can be purchased online. Single show tickets may also be purchased at the door.
Now... on to this year's scheduled performances!
