Are you ready for Christmas in July? Brought to you by the Martinsville Candy Kitchen, this fun Christmas in July event invites you to visit with Santa during his summer vacation, see them make candy canes by hand, participate in a fun workshop, and Buy One (make any purchase at a participating business), Give One, (make a donation to local non-profit Churches in Mission), and Get one (a FREE candy cane). Santa Claus & Candy Canes
First of all, we know what's important here - when and where can you meet Santa!
Santa and Mrs. Clause are traveling through Martinsville on their summer vacation and have agreed to stop in at the Martinsville Candy Kitchen during their visit. So you'll have two opportunities to visit with the big guy while he's here. On Thursday, July 24, Santa will be at the Martinsville Candy Kitchen from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, then again on Saturday, from 11 am to 1 pm. Candy cane pours will also take place on Thursday evening at 5 pm and Saturday at 10:30 am.
Christmas Workshops
On Friday, July 25, the Martinsville Candy Kitchen will host a cookie decorating workshop, where you can learn to decorate your own gingerbread man sugar cookie, beginning at 6 pm. Registration is required - please call 765-342-6390 to reserve your space! Also on Friday, if cookies aren't your thing, The Sterling Butterfly will host a beaded ornament class! You'll be able to create your own very special Christmas ornament from materials provided, beginning at 6 pm. Registration is available on line at thesterlingbutterfly.com/studio-phd/ and the class fee is only $25. Please note that space is limited for both classes, so don't delay - get registered ASAP!
Participating Locations
Here's a list of participating businesses where you can get that free candy cane by making any purchase and dropping off a donation. There will be donation boxes conveniently located at each participating business. Non-perishable food items and hygiene items are ideal to donate. Donations go to Churches in Mission, which provides both local food pantry services and Christmas assistance in Morgan County. In addition to your tasty free candy cane, each participating business may also have special offers just for Christmas in July!
