Chili Cookoff and Chalk Art Contest

Each year, the Greater Martinsville Chamber of Commerce hosts a Chili Cookoff and Chalk Art Contest downtown on the courthouse square in Martinsville. The event features tasting of the prize recipes from dozens of chili chefs, all vying for this year's title. Kids of all ages are invited to enter the Chalk Art Contest - there are prizes for each age group, including adults, as well as a people's choice winner. Held each year in mid- to late-September.
