Mariela Villasmil is an internationally known artist. She is originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela. She has a Masters Degree in Art. As a student in Rome she was chosen to work in the Vatican as a painter. She was commissioned to paint Pope John Paul II on porcelain for the Vatican Jubliee. She has traveled the world teaching painting and she will be in Martinsville, Indiana at the Art Sanctuary on July 17-19 to teach watercolor with your choice of subject.
Enjoy a three day class and fun while you learn the fundamentals of watercolor with Mariela. You will learn the basic techniques used by Mariela. Different papers and how to mix just yellow, red and blue to make all the colors you need. A simple concept, using a limited palette of colors. Learn color harmony and let her to introduce you to color; how to mix and how to use it. Lots of individual attention and class demonstrations with step-by-step through the entire painting process. You will be amazed what you can do!!!
The cost for this three day workshop is $350.00. A $100 deposit (Non-re-fundable) is required by March 30. The Art Sanctuary is located at 190 N. Sycamore St. in Martinsville, IN. Overnight accommodations are available at the Holiday Inn Express, Best Western or Super 8 for those wishing to stay overnight.
