Members of the Morgan County Master Gardeners and Indiana Daffodil Society want to make sure everyone can see the amazing site of thousands of daffodils in bloom on the grounds of Link Observatory, so they kindly staff the location so the gate can be open on each weekend in April. The observatory was built by Dr. Goethe Link who was an amateur astronomer. While he was gazing at the stars by night, his wife Helen was busy making the days more beautiful. She even created several unique hybrids! Her favorite daffodil, though was always "the first one that blooms."
