Join the Hoosier Hikers Council for their 23rd annual spring trail run/walk through the woods of Morgan-Monroe State Forest! The Run With the Foxes offers four different course lengths to accommodate all levels of runners - 5K, 13K, 10 mile and 13.1 mile courses are all over a natural foot trail that meanders through mature hardwood forests. The courses follow forest trails, and feature long but mostly level stretches with some steep hills, which are tempered by switchbacks. Trails are flagged at frequent intervals with bright ribbon and are cleared before the race. Aid stations along the courses offer drinks ever 2-3 miles. Trail surface will be mostly dirt, but there may also be some gravel areas.
Check in on race day begins at 7:30 am; the race will begin promptly at 9 am. Registration is available online only and the cost is $20 for adults and $10 for youth. Registration closes on Wednesday, May 17 at Midnight OR when the 300 runner limit is met. There is NO day-of-race-registration for this event. After the race, enjoy cold drinks, watermelon and other fresh fruit, snacks, cookies and mingling with other participants.
