Summer's finally here! Time to revel in warmer temps, outdoor activities and relaxing meals on outdoor patios. Whether you have a long summer vacation or have to work throughout the season, you'll want to plan a visit to Morgan County for some of these don't-miss events in June! Keep an eye on our calendar as we are always adding new events.
Morgan County Farmers Market
Stop in and talk to area farmers and artisans at the twice-weekly Morgan County Farmers Market! Find them at the Friends Church in Mooresville on Tuesdays from 3 to 6 pm and at The Main Connection in Martinsville on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Be sure to enjoy a specialty coffee drink from Cuppa Jejo on Saturdays while you browse! (You can also pick up state and local visitor information inside at the Visit Morgan County office.)
Cruise-In on the Square
Downtown Martinsville is the place to be on Thursday evenings, as classic car and truck owners cruise-in to the courthouse square for the evening. Cars begin arriving at 5 pm. Browse through the awesome autos on display and enjoy a tasty dinner at one of several downtown eateries around the square.
Kids' Summer Movie Series
Join Showtime Cinema in Mooresville for a fun summer music series just for the kids. Admission is a non-perishable food or toiletry item for Churches in Mission (or 50 cents per person). Movies are on Wednesdays in June and July, featuring popular family films. See calendar listing for movie schedule.
Dirt Track Racing
Join Paragon Speedway for racing under the lights on this traditional dirt track oval. Racing begins at 7:30 pm featuring several classes of cars. Pit passes are available. General admission for kids age 10 and under is always free with a paid adult admission. Race dates this month are June 3, 11 and 18. (Special event pricing will apply for Indiana Midget Week on June 3 and the Chuck Amati Classic on June 21.)
Berries & Ivy Country Store Anniversary Sale
Join one of downtown Martinsville's favorite shops, Berries & Ivy Country Store, as they celebrate the current owners' five year anniversary with the store as part of this year's annual sale! Stop in for fun giveaways and great discounts in the first week of June.
Downtown Martinsville Summer Concert: The Beepline
This year's Downtown Martinsville Summer Concert Series kicks off on Thursday, June 3 at the corner of Jefferson and Pike Streets with popular regional band The Beepline. Music begins at 7 pm. This is an all ages show and admission is free. Bring your own seating and plan to grab carryout from a downtown eatery to enjoy on the lawn.
Mooresville Summer Concert: Country Summer
The Mooresville Summer Concert Series continues in June with a night of live music from Country Summer on Friday, June 4. This is a free, all-ages show in beautiful Pioneer Park. Food will be available on site as well as beverages from Cedar Creek Winery and Brew Co. Bring your own seating.
Art Class: Girl on Swing
Join artist Sally Hedges of Ateliers Sip N Paint to create this fun painting on canvas featuring a girl on a swing. Stencils will be available. Class will take place at 1 pm on June 5. Space is limited so call early to reserve your seat.
Live Music: The 78's
Join Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co & Distillery on June 6 for live music from the 78's. The popular duo, featuring Brett Hardin and Faith Marie, features a variety of covers and some original music. Music begins at 2 pm. Free admission. All ages are welcome.
37th Annual Crafty Bear Fare
Delta Theta Tau presents their 37th Annual Crafty Bear Fare on June 5 from 9 am to 3 pm. This year's event will take place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. There will be dozens of booths from local artisans featuring unique, handcrafted items as well as a few direct sale vendors. Admission is free and there will be door prizes and great food available.. Be sure to stop by the teddy bear table where you can help stuff a bear to be donated to the ER at St. Francis Hospital where they will be given to children in need of a cuddly friend for comfort.
Drink at the Creek Concert: Too Hype Crew & Soul Street
Live music at Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co & Distillery continues with the first Drink at the Creek Concert of June, featuring a "House Party" theme. On Saturday, June 5, music from Soul Street will begin at 5 pm, followed by 80s and 90s Hip-Hop tribute band Too Hype Crew. Bring your own seating; overflow parking available at Hoosier Harvest Church. All ages are welcome; kids 12 and under are free.
2nd Friday at The Art Sanctuary
Join the Art Sanctuary for their monthly night of open studios, open mic performances and more! See a variety of artwork in different mediums and talk with the artists about their creations, then head downstairs to enjoy performances that could range from music to dance to spoken word. This month's event is June 11. Free admission.
Mooresville Summer Concert: Big Rosco & The Hammers
The Mooresville Summer Concert Series continues on June 11 with live music from Rosco and The Hammers. Music begins at 7 pm at beautiful Pioneer Park. This is an all ages show and admission is free. Bring your own seating. Food and beverages will be available on site.

RoadRunner Rally in the Valley
Downtown Martinsville will welcome the RoadRunner Rally in the Valley 5K Run/Walk, Car Show and Bike Ride on June 12. Events will be held at the Morgan County Fairgrounds this year, including the start and finish line for the 5K, the motorcycle ride and the car show. Admission is free for spectators.
Morgan County History Center & Museum Grand Opening
The brand new Morgan County History Center and Museum will celebrate their grand opening on Saturday, June 12 with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 11 am. After the presentation the museum will be open to the public from Noon to 4 pm. The new museum is located at 127 South Main Street.
Live Music: Josiah Brewer
Join the Farm House Brew in Monrovia for an evening of live music from local musician Josiah Brewer on Saturday, June 12. He'll take the stage at 4 pm for this free performance. All ages are welcome.
Houseplants 101 Workshop
Join Flower Mama for a fun workshop on how to keep your houseplants alive and thriving. Workshop will take place at Fables and Fairy Tales Bookshop on June 15 beginning at 6:30 pm. You'll plant your own brand new flower baby as you learn all about the dos and don'ts of caring for house plants. Space is limited, so please reserve your seat early.
Whiskey Cocktail Pairing Dinner
Join Chef Matt at 21 North Eatery & Cellar for a very special pairing dinner featuring whiskey cocktails and delightful culinary creations on Tuesday, June 15. This multi-course dinner will be served beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets are available online.
3rd Thursday on the Square
Join downtown Martinsville merchants as they stay open late for the 3rd Thursday of each month. Check out each store to find great specials and fun events. This month's event will be June 17. This event coincides with the weekly Cruise-in on the Square to create an even more festive atmosphere than usual. Sponsored by Rediscover Martinsville, the city's Main Street Organization.
Downtown Martinsville Summer Concert: Groove Smash
Head to downtown Martinsville on June 17 for live music from popular regional band Groove Smash. They'll take the stage at 7 pm at the corner of Jefferson and Pike Streets. Morgan County History Partnership Golf Outing
Join the Morgan County History Partnership and Museum on June 19 to golf for a good cause at the Martinsville Golf Club. Registration and lunch starts at Noon with tee off at 2 pm. Proceeds benefit the new Morgan County History Center and Museum and the Morgan County History Partnership.
Art Class: Egret at Sunset

Bocas: A Special Menu Event
On June 22, 21 North Eatery & Cellar will featured an all-day special menu event. Bocas will feature little plates of Latin-inspired food and drink from 11 am to 9 pm. Reservations are available, but not necessary. Enjoy dishes such as Duck Taquitos, Papas Bravas, Cachapa, Albodingas and more!
Justin Moore Concert
Country music star Justin Moore will perform on Friday, June 25 with opening acts Bigg Country and Split Rail. Tickets are on sale in advance at rdproductionsllc.com. Music will begin at 7 pm at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. Food and beverages will be available on site. Please bring your own seating.
Rock Tribute Concert
Enjoy some of your favorite rock classics live with this fun concert featuring not one, but four rock tribute bands! Featured performers will include Panama (Van Halen Tribute), Freebird (Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute), Heartache Tonight (Eagles Tribute) and The System (Bob Seger Tribute). LYKKE Summer Fest
Join the Mooresville Arts Partnership on June 26 as they present LYKKE Summer Fest from 11 am to 7 pm. Lykke is a Danish word meaning happiness and good fortune. The event will feature arts and crafts, vendors, food, live music and a fun kids zone with activities! Admission is free.
2021 Morgan County Antique Machinery Show
This two-day event is a Morgan County tradition! Come see a wide variety of antique machinery on June 26 and 27, including tractors, steam powered machines and more. Enjoy the live steam sawmill demonstrations, browse the flea market area and don't forget the homemade ice cream booth! Admission is free. Event takes place at the Morgan County Fairgrounds.

Join Cedar Creek Winery, Brew Co & Distillery on June 27 for live music from Phil Pierle The regionally well-known acoustic musician will take the stage at 2 pm. Free admission. All ages are welcome.
